Easy but highly unexpected topics as whenever I discussed topics like that with experts, I was replied that such easy topics won't come in any CSS exam as the trend has completely changed. When I saw the topics, I felt that I can write on all the topics with ease and therefore, I made outlines of 5 topics. Anyhow, I went for the Emerging Power of Social Media but could not write more than 6 pages as I was running short of time though I always write in small font and narrow. I spent more time on preparing outline on last page as rough work but wrote it on 1st page hastily. With few pages and a slightly messy outline, I think, I have missed a chance which comes once in a blue moon. It was a piece of cake but alas!:sad

Well, to be honest, it was a very unwise move on your part to make 5 outlines in a 3-hour exam.

I too felt the topics were easy but nonetheless started on the CPEC one though I feel I could have done some of the others as well/better.

Anyway, what is done is done don't worry about it now hopefully will be for the best.

Yes brother, you are right. I should not have done like that. Actually, I became over excited after reading the topics but it also led me to confusion that on which topic should I write? I was stuck in incomplete outlines.

In the beginning, these topics seemed easy to me as well, but after a moment, I guess these topics are actually tough ones. Consider any topic and access your knowledge and grip on such topic. You have to write as asked in the paper not like giving introductions and focusing on secondary arguments. Every topic has a limited circle where you have to focus, like in "emerging power of social media" topic, you have to focus on prospects and problems, not like giving introductions of twitter, facebook, and their categories.

When I was handed over the paper I had a cursory glance all over the topics and I came to know that all of the topics are closed-ended and I may deal them accordingly.
Firstly, I read each topic one by one from top to bottom along with highlighting main keywords which would help me later to decide easily whether to select any topic or not. Secondly, I read every topic one by one from bottom to top (following the same approach). Finally, I came up with all topics' main keywords and began ruthlessly cutting away those topics one by one on which I did have sufficient command(as now it was easy to decide). Lastly, I left with only one topic: The threats of Globalization and the ways to counter it. I had not prepared this topic at home, but the keyword-exercise in examination hall helped me to decide on which topic I could brainstorm effectively - it delivered. The whole exercise done in 5 minutes.
