You have calculated (D) part of 7th Q wrong.
Total earning was Rs. 24000 but ratio was given for other expenses. Other expenses were calculated in (A) part and answer was 16 %.
Other expenses= Rs. 24000×16/100
= Rs. 3840
As savings was 3/8 So,
Rs. 1440 was the right answer.
