Pages do not matter madam anum. Your relevancy matters.
And if one is relevant in 5 pages each, then one can fetch good marks. God bless you. |

Length of my answers is usually 6 to 8 pages. Today, I was a little slow as compared to my usual speed. I was advised by my teachers to write that much. My writing is really big and broad. That also plays part.

I am aware about what matters and what not. I am not a beginner. I have passed this paper last year with really great marks. Read full comments before commenting. I mentioned that I write to the point. Everyone writes according to their studied material. Also, studying from core sources instead of cheap stuff gives you many more ideas which can be added. I also said that I could have added many points in US relation question but due to shortage of time, it was not possible so, I concluded the topic after 4.5 pages. I have never told others to fill sheets with irrelevant material. 6-8 pages is recommended length by all teachers. Today, paper was lengthy. Length does not matter but when all papers have almost similar length. When examiner evaluates papers, he will definitely give more marks to the one who has written more than 6 pages as compared to the one who has written only 3-4. 6 pages does not mean material was irrelevant. Relevancy is important but other factors like length, neatness, writing, presentation skills etc all matters. If M.Phil degree holders are failing their subjects and the person who had prepared nothing and was not even aware about syllabus has passed the same subjects just by these skills, I can definitely conclude that these things matter a lot.

Yes, that certainly increases your marks. One can draw maps, flow sheet diagrams, pie charts, brain maps and many other things to make his or her answer well presentable and structured.

I write small.....today I reached 14 pages by attempting 3 questions......so without headings that would be 13...by doing simple maths.... 13 x 29 (lines) x 7 (words per line) = 2639 words. Can I conclude that my writing speed is okay but relevancy is the issue? please comment.
And there were no flow-charts or mind-maps... |
