Well i interpreted it in a different way. Sometimes danger is right in front of us but we are intoxicated with lust for power etc and reality is obscured to us. Just like climate change. everyone just sees the short term goals but fail to see the damage that might come with it. wars in middle east is causing irreperable damage but currently no is able to see that it would eventually divide the world(its already divided). Similarly predicaments stifling pakistan are right infront of us but our myopic policies dont envision the long term sustainable goals.

(Well these kind of topics have a lot of room. what matters is how you prove your stance. Allah knows best. I gave it a shot. May Allah be with me)

Suggested a change in discourse and introspection on our part. Explained how it’s about time we let the fourth wave seep into our culture

There was another point that I wrote that I’ve completely forgotten. Anyway, what do you guys think?

Actually, these things are clearly seen by the states. Nevertheless, they do not prioritize it. I wish you all the best that you will ace it firmly.

It was a touch paper. Not a single topic was there which was being pre-guessed. It really looks like FPSC targeted this subject, to filter out the non serious candidate or the ones with average english skills.

I went for Modern waves of Feminism and our culture.
Best of luck to everyone else.

Most of the people have confused it with BLESSINGS AND CURSE. they have discussed both blessings and curse but the word OR means you need to select one of them.
I wrote 17 pages, covered all outlines and went for blessings in my thesis statement. My outlines were

Introduction

Blessings in Social Sector:
1. National and Ethnic integration
2. Cultural exchange
3. Public awareness
4. Social media apps- Bringing people closer
5. IT as source of Entertainment
6. IT in education sector (Multimedia and virtual universities etc)

Blessings in Political Sector:
1. Election campaigns
2. Accountability of elected leaders
3. Pakistan citizen portal-- bridge between govt and public
4. Use of IT in fingerprint voting system-- reducing rigging and corruption

IT in Economic sector:
1. E-Commerce
2. IT in industries
3. Contribution in GDP growth ( India example)
4. Reduction of poverty
5. Freelancing -- A solution to unemployment
6. Virtual Classes and online teaching -- A source of earning money

Role of IT in defense
1. GPS
2. Strategic Protection
3. Missile system
4. Drone technology
5. Cyber security
6. 5th generation warfare and role of IT
7. Radars and Navigation

Conclusion

Basically the inclusion of the word "OR" is the invitation for a constructive discussion. We have to discuss both sides in order to defend our stance - be it blessing or curse. So, in my opinion, shedding light on both was important to defend our thesis statement.

Did I interpret the topic?
I believe, it was how art can be used to promote peace. I think tourism in Pakistan is much talked about nowadays and many youtubers are promoting peaceful side of Pakistan through their art of making videos so i think the topic is given in this context
