'liberate' was the correct option for 'enfrenchise'. you had to tick the antonym not synonym for it. p.s rest of the 3 options had similar meaning as 'subjugate'. so none of those 3 including subjugate could possibly be the right answer.

No. Due to/because of are not prepositions. It's 'For', maybe but I'm not sure for that one. But it's not due or because.

I haven't attempted that one because I wasn't sure. I think its owing to which is a preposition.

I just cross checked and it should be *for*

Why can't it be owing to poor attendence, the course was cancelled? Placing for doesn't make much sense. Let's restructure the sentence; bring the later half to the front-the course was cancelled for poor attentence? I think it sounds much more appropriate with the course was cancelled, owing to poor attentence (due to is not a preposition by the tiniest of complications but some books still consider it one. Owing to is a accepted preposition though)

Here is a link to the merriam-webster dictionary that clearly state that "due to" is also a prepositional phrase https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/due%20to
