Dear, there was one antonym "scurrilous" .
Options were

Ribald
Descent
Disrepute
Mitigate

Correct option is "decent" , but fpsc chaps did a typo by writing decent as descent. Moreover, another synonym "flabbergasted" had the correct option "astonished" mentioned twice in the options. What is your take on these issues?

It can be 'Owing to' or 'For' as per the structure, asked in exam.
The preposition 'for' has got great potential in it and can be used in a lot of different ways.
If we restructure the sentense as per what you did, the only preposition that can be used then is 'for'.
'Owing to' can only be used at the start of any sentence. That's the restriction.

In case of correct option inserted double, choosing any one of them would be considered correct.
And the other issue you found, generally such question is exempted and everybody gets a point.
That's my understanding from all MCQ based exams. It's common in one paper tests.

Owing to and due to are both prepositional phrases so I fail to see how they don't fit into the requirement of the question, but again you have a right to opinion. I stand by what I have put forward.

I was not able to manage time in this paper. I was able to answer just three questions of comprehension and did not write correct sentences of idioms. Am I fail?
