Q#5, What is meant by the term "Proxy War" ? Are there any extrinsic factors at play in the internal security situation of Pakistan?

Ans.

Meaning of the term "Proxy War"

The term "Proxy War" simply means to play a armed conflict or cold war on someone's else behalf in a state/country. Proxy war ranges in it's intensity. Ranging from irritating the society to the elements of violence, to sectarianism, and reaching terrorism even to suicide bombers - in it's range.

Are there any extrinsic factors at play in the internal security situation of Pakistan?

The internal security situation of Pakistan has faced many ups and downs either because of the intrinsic factors or extrinsic factors. However, here we have to analyze the extrinsic factors only as either they are been involved in the internal security situation of Pakistan or not.

1. India was the most active member state from outside which has caused a lot of threats to Pakistan and has destructed the internal security situation of Pakistan. Such threats been unbearable for Pakistan has eliminated alot of peace from Pakistan. Although now Pakistan is now back on it's track of internal security.

2. Taliban acquiring income from outside have shown their rivalry against the safe and sound internal security situation of Pakistan. The TTP like groups were too much active and had spoiled the internal security situation of Pakistan.

3. Iranians been most of them shia were against Pakistani sunnis. And have been involved in the internal security threats to Pakistan. Which have posed a lot of the internal security risks to Pakistan. Although it's been no more any trend for Pakistan. As Pakistan has been recovered from that malady of foreign Iranian involvement in the internal security situation of Pakistan.

4. Inland ignorant violent elements for taking money have also been involved in giving risks to the internal security situations of Pakistan. Which was one of the major threats to Pakistan, to purify it's society from such elements.

5. Islamic fundamentalists and those who used the term Islamic terrorism were against the peaceful internal security situation of Pakistan. Such elements always used the strategy of their hard feelings against Pakistan. Which Pakistan has dealt with, with successful efforts of strategy. And has got back the state on the track of peaceful existence.

Although the different threatening groups has destructed the internal security situation of Pakistan. Which has crippled the economy of Pakistan in past and for the precautions for the future. Also the different organizations for peace and states around the world concerning the peaceful security situation in Pakistan have shown their favor in Pakistan and have worked a lot in this regard.

Q#6. Discuss the main features of the Political Culture of Pakistan ?

Ans.

The political culture of Pakistan like other countries is the maintenance of the "collection of trends" to serve the state by the governmental officials. However these trends vary from state to state. The trends of Pakistan political culture include both the good and bad of the following features.

Features Of The Political Culture Of Pakistan;

1. The political culture of Pakistan is comprised of politicians elected for a tenure of five years. However some politicians reach their complete tenure while others turn out to be unsuccessful in completing their five years tenure because of the lack of trust in such politicians and the way they operate the state institutions.

2. The successful state politicians in Pakistan used to have a media fully free. Where the state affairs are fully exposed to the citizens while the voice of the citizens is fully raised by media. And a connection of trust is upheld in between the officials and the citizens of Pakistan for the solution of problems and the improvement of the lifestyle through media. However in certain cases the politicians have become failed in completing their tenure because of the controlled media used for sensationalism only. Where the masses are kept in such problems which the masses are unable to resolve themselves.

3. The trend of taking IMF loans must not be given any preference that much. Also the trend of corruption by the politicians and officials in the political culture must be avoid in order to avoid bankruptcy and imposition of taxes against masses. Instead the commercial and the industrial sector of Pakistan must be developed. This will improve the back bone economy of the state and the masses will experience prosperity with more responsible politicians and the concerned officials carrying on the political culture of Pakistan.

4. Judiciary is dispensing justice to the judicial clients on the basis of their rights. Although at times the judiciary has been personalized by the politicians. Where the acquirement of justice has not been easy for the judicial clients. Nonetheless, fortunately recently the purity of the judiciary has been restored. And there is no more restrictions in the dispense of justice to the public as per the political culture of Pakistan.

5. National Accountability Beaurue '(NAB) is taking the corrupt ones into the judicial trials for there accountability. And the corrupt politicians are purified there. With recovered money from such politicians used in the provision of rights to the Pakistani deserving masses.

6. The politicians of Pakistan are taking serious measures for ensuring peaceful internal atmosphere in the state. Also it portrays the image of Pakistan as a peaceful country on the international forum. Where it creates an ease in having friendly ties and agreements with foreign countries. And as a result the foreign policy of Pakistan is kept refreshed.

7. The political culture of Pakistan a lot depends on the soft power policy of dialogues and deputations, both on the domestic level as well as international level. Whether these are the dialogues with internal violent elements or the foreign supreme powers, Pakistan mostly tend towards dialogues with such factions. Also, mostly such dialogues have been one of the successful trends of the political culture of Pakistan.

Q#7. Pakistan's energy crisis was due to the lack of strategy and political will. Discuss.

Ans.

Introduction

Energy is a vital resource for any state. A lot depends in any state on energy. Energy production and it's cultured supply helps the state operate on proper terms. However the energy crisis of Pakistan was both due the lack of strategy and the lack of political will.

A) Energy Crisis In Pakistan Due The Lack Of Strategy

1) Due to the limited energy production the limited supply was the forecast and as a result energy was supplied limitedly. Which worsened with time and created energy crisis.

2) The increasing public demand of the supply of energy was due to the limited energy production in Dams. Also the strategic demand of constructing new dams is a failure so far. And as a result energy was supplied limitedly, which created energy crisis.

3) In order to impose more taxes on the Pakistani masses, energy supply was kept limited for the public. Where the masses faced energy crisis and increased their demand for energy.

4) Due to the imports, energy crisis got a less heed of the authorities and the industrial sector was as a result fragile. Which in turn created secondary problems for the state also. However the domestic produce is now seeing strategic consideration.

B) Energy Crisis In Pakistan Due To The Lack Of Political Will

1) The political will of Pakistan did not stand for the energy crisis. The institutions of WAPDA, PEPCO, PESCO , were kept instructed to supply energy limitedly as per the increasing public needs. And as a result the energy crisis escalated.

2) Energy provision was used as a problem for the Pakistani public, in relation to make the public suffer and to keep them dependent on the politicians. And in consequence energy crisis was faced by the Pakistani public.

3) Energetic Pakistan is a must. But unfortunately during the energy crisis the politicians in concern , used to be corrupt. And unfortunately the Pakistani public faced suffering from the energy crisis.

4) Also to keep the WAPDA, PESCO and PEPCO in alignment with other state departments on the track of low efficiency created energy crisis. This sort of low efficiency of the state departments were supposed to manage public to expect political role to improve the state departments. While behind the scene motive of such politicians was to complete their tenure.

Conclusion

Energy is the most needed resource of the state of Pakistan. However the needed and timely supply of energy must be ensured. Which will put the state of Pakistan on the right track of progress and national happiness and prosperity.

Q#8. Discuss revival of Pak-US relations in cotext of present US-Taliban peace process.

Ans.

Introduction

Pakistan always has been a mediator between US and Taliban peace agreements and dialogues. The present ongoing US-Taliban peace process renders a suitable platform for the revival of Pak-US relations in different ways, like;

Possible Ways;

1. PAK-US relations do seem to assume a track of peace involving Talibans in the region.

2. US supremacy is going to reduce it's impact on the geo-strategic position of Pakistan, as this supremacy is tending towards the use of soft power with Talibans.

3. Pak-US relations do seem to be useful for China also. Where economic prosperity will be result for Pakistan in its outcome.

4. Sustainability in the Pak-US safe relations including Talibans look to produce a soft impression of the US on the middle east countries also. As only in Afghanistan the US consumes 5 billions dollars on war per year. In contrast the middle east countries will suppose to face the US with soft expectations. Which will manage the middle east countries to adopt the soft foreign policy terms towards the US and possibly the US policy will also tend to adopt the same terms towards the middle east countries.

5. Pak-US relation on the assumed new peaceful track will give extra premium reputation to the US also. Where peace, happiness, and prosperity is the supposed possible reality for the region , especially for Talibans.

Conclusion

Everything is difficult before it is easy. International Peace is possible on the soft foreign policy terms of each country. If US the only hard super power can tend towards the US-Taliban peace process. Each country can do the same. And as a result peace, happiness, and prosperity will be the outcome for the region.
