Why.....chemistry 's marking is low???? any special reason behind that? if a candidate solve the question conceptually and provide sufficient information of every question then still there are chances of low marking trends??? |

Actually after 2010, paper pattern has been remarkably changed. 1 question carries 3 to 4 parts, 1 part from inorganic, 1 part from anayltical or physical and 1 part from environmental, this trend makes it tough to answer all the sections of a Q correctly, this makes the low marking trend as candidate may not be well versed in all areas of chemistry. But if you think that you can do well in these circumstances then you should opt it. It may prove to be high scoring. Chemistry paper requires much practice and full concentration hence consumes lot of time, if you can give proper time , yes you can do well in the exam.

I think you have not appeared in CSS that's why you are saying that these papers are not tough, you can't imagine the toughness being out of arena. Yes FPSC has given syllabus which covers organic, inorganic, Physical, Analytical, Industrial, environmental and applied chemistry.

Moreover, none of the CSS papers is easy. And if by chance paper is easy, the marking criteria are made more strict so as not to give any undue advantage to anyone.

the paper have become more conceptual then being theoretical only....so the thing required here is conceptual based study.

Yes, conceptual study is needed and one more thing is required that for chemistry subject no area should be left unstudied so that paper can be attempted well. As in chemistry paper question contains various small portions compiled from various topics, so if a candidates depends upon selected study it will not prove to more fruitful in terms of score.

By studying the chemistry of inter level, you may got 100-120 marks but if u want to take more than 150 marks, inter level chemistry is not enough. Go ahead master level foreign books. |
