RNA are produced by the chromosomes, and protein is bound to the chromosome (which helps make the lampbrush shape we see), but the chromosome itself consists of a very long strand of DNA alone

Even I had ticked dna but unfortunatelly it is wrong.

The above quotation is not mine but it is of a medical professional. Rna are in no case found in chromosome. Of the remaining choices dna was the correct one

Let's ask a medical professional whether chromosome contains rna or not

have you even read your link? It says

Each chromosome is made of protein and a single molecule of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA).

that means it certainly does not comprise only of DNA

mhz99 Monday, March 03, 2014 07:17 PM

Yes I have read it. There was no option of dna plus protein in paper

Dna is the main constituent thus it is more preferable option than protein only
