This is indeed a discouraging paper. Don't have time to get into the "out of syllabus" or "within the syllabus" debate but this is definitely an unbalanced paper. An aspirant would actually struggle to relate it to Sociology, its terms, theories etc. Such papers discourage serious candidates to study from books and Internet resources because no matter how much they prepare, it's not going to be from the relevant material.

Even though the paper is easy to attempt still it introduces the element of unpredictability. The paper seems like a blend of Journalism and rot-learned topics of CA. I was accused of trying to lessen competition for my own subject when I had advised new aspirants not to opt Sociology. But this is what happens when an elective subject is chosen as a compulsory subject by every other aspirant. Anyhow, best of luck for the results!

What is this all? I am afraid another tough year in the offing for those opted sociology in the offing. Sociology is certainly losing fan club.
The terminologies used in questions are quite difficult also questions were irrelevant keeping in mind subject-matter of sociology

Mind construction: socialisation and the process to conform the minds of people with a society.
Role of education policy in the formation of social minds: this question asks what z the role of education in the process of socialisation. For, instance if education policy is properly formulated it can ensure transmission of culture from one generation to another etc etc.
Importance of education policy: why education policy b made?
Bugeoning role of social media: increasing role of social media.
Perception and reality: what a thing is n fact and how people perceive it. For instance earth revolves around the sun: it is reality. However different people presented different theories time to time and that were their perceptions.
How the perception of people maneuvered: how the perceptions of people can be changed tactfully? Thz z done through media, education, propaganda, advertisement etc.
