HISTORY OF USA

Time Allowed: 3 Hours
(Part I, MCQs) 30 Minutes - Maximum Marks: 20
(Part II) 2 Hours & 30 Minutes: Maximum Marks: 80

Note: (i) Part-II is to be attempted on the separate Answer Book.
(ii) Attempt ONLY FOUR questions from PART-II. ALL questions carry EQUAL marks.
(iii) Candidate must write Q. No. in the Answer Book in accordance with Q. No. in the Q. Paper.
(iv) No page/space be left blank between the answers. All the blank pages of Answer Book must be crossed.
(v) Extra attempt of any questions or any part of the attempted question will not be considered.

PART-II

Q.2. Since the Declaration of Independence, the Westward expansion was a story of annexations, concession and purchases. Discuss. (20)

Q.3. Discuss the trends and causes leading to the expansion of federal government's power in the U.S. (20)

Q.4. What are the Sources of Revenues and Funds of Government in the U.S.? Is it true to say that the Americans pay taxes for civic facilities?

Q.5. Compare the Lockean philosophy with the American Political thought. (20)

Q.6. Evaluate the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003. How far the American policymakers remained successful in achieving their goals? (20)

Q.7. In what respect did the philosophy and rationale of Jackosnian democracy differ from those of Jeffersonian? (20)

Q.8. Write short notes on any TWO of the following: (20)
(a) Federal Securities; (b) Natural Aristocracy of Thomas Jefferson; (c) Monroe Doctrine.

paper was fine.... not extremely good..almost 13 mcqs correct.. attempted all the questions alhamdolillah , i expected question like cold war, foreign policy, Americans role in world wars but yes now it is explicit that FPSC is filtering the crammers, policy changed,.

Paper is really tough than that of last year, questions are almost out of the trend this year, was not expecting this paper like that. I took it last year and it was far easier than this. Again, US History going to be in the list of low scoring subjects. But I hope with well preparation it can be handled to the level of perfection. Hopefully you guys took it well.. Thumbs Up!

what about first 10 amendment. There was an mcq (bill of people) but i ticked on none of these because it was bill of rights
