Part II

Q2. Shah Waliullah realised "The renaissance of Islam and Muslim Society can not be affected until the intellectual life of the Muslims is re-oriented." Discuss Critically.(I didnt attempt it cz he had asked very technically about Shah waliullah)

Q3. Aligarh and Deoband movements had great contrast in their views and mission and their leaders were at daggers drawn with each other. Discuss(I attepmted it as it was a straightfwd historical question, so contributions of both the movements and the rifts between their leaders had a fame around which i put in its answer)

Q4. How far is it correct to say Quaid-i-Azam consolidated the nascent state of Pakistan? Comment.

Q5. Why military of Pakistan intervened in Pakistan's politics? What is the role of the present leadership to de-politicize army? Give specific measures.(I had prepared an essay, so no pblm on it)

Q6. What is meant by National Reconciliation? What are it's ingredients? Can we equate National Reconciliation with National Reconciliation Ordinance?(Again i had a current affair and essay topic of this topic so no problem for me)

Q7. Compare and contrast the resistance movement of East Pakistan with the present movement of Baluchistan. Suggest remedies.(this was a layman question)

Q8. Pakistan's industry is providing jobs to various categories of workers and is earning foreign exchange for the country. Comment.

But paper overall was technical was a tough paper.....

You are right. They asked about when it was concluded as a failure and not when it started. I have corrected the mistake.

Beside about question number 1, they have asked about who was the first saint who came to Lahore, not Indo-Pakistan.

Ali Hajweyri is the same person as Data Gunj Baksh. Gunj was born in 1009 near Ghazni when Mahmud of Ghazni was ruling. Gunj came and settled in Lahore much after the death of Mahmood of Ghazni during the later Ghaznavids empire, probably when the Ghaznavid capital was Lahore and not Ghazni.

But i have been to Data Gunj Baksh's tomb and very near him is buried BiBi Paak Daman. People say that Bibi Paak Daaman came to Lahore even before Gunj, so this means that obviously Gunj was not the first person to come to Lahore.

I have myself done this MCQ wrong, but as far as my knowledge goes, Sheikh Ismail came to Lahore during the time when Lahore was under non-Muslim occupation, sometime before Mahmood of Ghazni and after the Arab conquest of Sindh. So probably the correct answer is Sheikh Ismail!

Hope i be of some help!

Ali Hajweri is the same person as Data Gunj Baksh. But Ali MAKHDOOM Hajweri is different from Gunj!!!!!

Alama Iqbal said:

Aik ho muslim haram ki pasbani kai liyay
Neel kai sahil ta bukhak kashghar

That is Pan-Islamic Idea based on Khilafat

Again he said:

Na turani rahai baqi, na Irani, na Afghani ( I forgot the first verse )

That is Pan-Islamic Idea

Jamal ud Din Afghani was also of Pan-Islamic ideas. He wanted all the Muslims to unite.

Only Central Asian States doesn't suit for me as a Pan-Islamic idea.

Rest: I might be correct, I might be wrong !

First of All try to understand the statement that is:

"The renaissance of Islam and Muslim Society can not be affected until the intellectual life of the Muslims is re-oriented."

in my opinion, this question revolves around the intellectual life of the Muslims.this question demands a critical elucidation of this statement.we have to answer this question in a way that only re-orientation of intellectual perspective is not enough for the renaissance of islam and Muslim society.there are other fronts also e.g. social life, political life, religious life, cultural life.

i would appreciate if someone corrects me regarding this question.

Regards
