He was the person ho divided bengal. The Lord Hardinge was viceroy from 23 November 1910 to 4 April 1916 who held delhi darbar. The following para would remove all doubts. According to the suggestion of the Governor-General-in-Council, King George V at his Coronation Darbar in Delhi in December 1911 announced the revocation of the Partition of Bengal and of certain changes in the administration firstly, the Government of India should have its seat at Delhi instead of Calcutta. British government decided to annul the Partition of Bengal. The date chosen for the formal ending of the partition and reunification of Bengal was 1 April 1912. Any doubt Dhaka: Partition of Bengal 1905 and its annulment in 1911..

AS per Southe Get ( A text book of history of England), durbar of 1858 act was held at Allah Abad
Anti-Urdu movements were concentrated in Uttar Pardesh, mean northern provinces in 1861 Act, council was enlarged by one member and Commander in Chief as its member. so right answer is one or two. Sir Syed was secretary of Management Committee, he was succeeded by N.M . Mulk INc resigned on 22 october, but day of delieverence was observed either on 22 nov or 22 dec |

Given the problems that Pakistan is facing today, what is your vision of Pakistan in the year 2011? How, in your opinion, can be its internal and external problems solved?
Dear members this was a question of Pakistan affairs-2011. What should, in your opinion,be solution of this question? I think this was an open-ended question and covers vast areas. The challenge lies in controlling the answer. So plz discuss it. ** Plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz reply. you are right this was an open ended question.
i started with a quote from john stuart mill, "the greatest threat to a society does not come from the government , but from the society itself .which fails to accommodate differing views " ( i do not remember the exact quote right now ). so the first challenge i quoted was INTOLERANCE ... 3) Illiteracy 3) Economic woes 4)terrorism for the solution .... i started from another quote ...aristotle said , " it is the mark of an educated man to entertain a thought without actually accepting it " so two problems would be solved by educating people. we will have trained manpower and the second would be a tolerant society.... for economic woes i mentioned the skewed tax system we had and i proposed the solutions ....like taxing the real state and agriculture sector ...i also gave some figures that from IMF reports.. for terrorism i mentioned that it is a political problem and needs a political solution...i also mentioned the heavy price pak had to pay in the war against terrorism . i showed that drones would only infuriate the public and i proposed a conciliatory approach.... this was an outline for u ...if you have further questions you can ask me ...i hope it helps ... |

Your first quote-- blaming society for every ill instead of government-- doesn't corroborate your arguments when you discuss "illiteracy, economic woes, terrorism"; reason being, one way or the other, these problems are emanated from the grave inefficiencies and poor governance on part of the government. In modern nation-state system, it is the government that has to drive the affairs of the state. Society is a subject and not a driver. By the way, your argument about "drone" is also debatable. All these drone attacks are carried out with tacit approval of GHQ and the government. In support of my argument, I quoted few classified documents that will be eye-opener for an examiner. Although strategic cost of drone strikes exceeds the tactical gains, yet it has yielded some dividends, too. |

**** Guyz, I don't know why few candidates put romantic quotes which are quite irrelevant to what is being exactly asked. You better quote facts, figures, or any relevant argument from any renowned historian about that issue. For Example, in this question we were supposed to discuss problems pertaining to Pakistan, its policy ramifications and recommendations for future. How come Aristotle or Shakespeare quotations fit here? Do we attempt to entertain our examiner? Just to save yourself from awkwardness, the best approach would have been if you had quoted few lines, for example, from Ralph Braibanti research papers "Strategic Significance of Pakistan", Stephen P. Cohen masterpiece "Idea of Pakistan", Ahmed Rashid book "Descent into Chaos" etc., who discussed Pakistan and its grave challenges and gave an incisive and refreshingly bold analysis about Pakistan's polity. How come Aristotle or Shakespear fits in this question? I don't understand but it sounds weird and preposterous to me, friends!
