No, diffusion is correct. Please see below definition of diffusion:

"the spreading out of culture, culture traits, or a cultural pattern from a central point. "

While assimilation is when cultural traits are accomodated in new culture after fertilization.

guys in the questions of evolutionary theory by ibn khaldun, what were we supposed to write?

I wrote about al-asabiya. The the cyclic change, which is of 120 years. and then explained each of the three stages. Also highlighted how asabiya plays its part in developing a society. Is this correct. Need your opinion

guys still eagerly waiting for your valuable comments regarding the question of ibn khaldun and evolution. I do believe that we had to describe the social change, its 3 stages, also relate it with al-asabiya. Since in this theory ibn khaldun describes how societies evolve and become into states. Plz do comment on it especially those who attempted this question. I will be highly obliged, waiting for your prompt reply

i did not attempt the question...because i had not an in depth knowledge of this theory ...but u attempted it correctly....khaldun described society as a living organism that evolves...and that is what you described

Well, I concentrated on the theoretical part, because i believe the theories if you know it very well will give you more marks. I attempted the following questions:
Q.6 Theory of Labour by Karl Marx
Q.5 Evolutionary theory by Ibn Khaldun
Q.3 Social Problem and drug abuse
Q.5 Urbanization as a process
