Unhappy

you can attempt full chemistry paper only after preparing each and every section given in the course outline. one can,t attempt it by selective study. paper 2 was very difficult 4 me ths time cs i had prepared only selective topics. next time i won,t repeat this mistake.

Yes U are right. In chemistry none can get good score after selective study except luck (very rare cases). The subject needs really focus and full concentration like compulsory subjects... Paper II was really tough, u r right....

first of all i would like to advise you that dont opt chemistry..go for psychology punjabi such type of scoring subjects because we want to be allocated not just pass the written... i am also msc organic but i am worried about marks .....okk i ll let you know about my experience of opting chemistry and preparation after my interview...and after my final result my marks in chemistry will also give you a clue to decide..because people easily get 160 in persian and psychology and 80 in punjabi

if u have decided finally that u are going to opt chemistry then after my interview we can make preparation plan of chemistry because i have again opted chemistry in PMS
anyways best of luck

Chemistry really wants full concentration and focus to fetch a good score. If you are determined to attempt chemistry then you must remember that you have to work harder for it otherwise this will prove to be lethal. I'll also join this discussion/study as chemistry is also my subject.

AOA..one thing i would like to suggest that if you have not done masters in chemistry than please do not go for this subject in CSS..........it can ruin your whole result chemistry papers are always conceptual, often very tough and very lengthy syllabus..... you can not take risk to leave even a single topic as each question contains three to four parts and all mostly covering different topics. So i will suggest please once go through last 6 to 7 years papers you will by yourself realize that you should go for this or not?specially chemistry paper II 2009 best of luck every one... ALLAH pak bless you with the best always ameen sum ameen

I opted for chemistry in 2005. I got 96/200. It was a very stupid decision on my part to opt for chemistry since I had never studied chemistry at B.Sc. or M.Sc. level before preparing for CSS exam, since I am a computer engineer by qualification.

The low score inflicted a lot of damage on my merit position, and I slipped from may be top 50 to 121st position. However, for those with chemistry in B.Sc. or those having M.Sc. chemistry, it should not be difficult.
