if anyone can tell that there is any authentic and commendable guide available in the market for the concepts building and the relevent literature we have to give in essay. i mean to say that first we can get concepts and information on any specific topic and later write it in own words.
regard.

Jahangir's world times, dawn news, aljazeera.com/english, contemporary affairs bi-monthly and times magazine....these things can assist you in concept building and enhancement of knowledge.
these things are easily available.
the most effective method is taking notes of each good topic that appears in these things........because each and every thing is not relevant

@fazal.....first of all,its not exactly what you have written in your essay.
Secondly, the material presented in your essay deserves another title...which would be 'condition of women in pakistan'....most of the people including you have not addressed the word 'myth'.....maker wanna ask 'it is believed both genders are equal but in reality they are not equal in pakistan or somewhere else'.
This is what my experience says...some folks ll surely have different opinions.
Regards.

My Best Wishes to All CE-2013 candidates.

what should be the length of essay?

I prepared current affairs from Dawn news, aljazeera, economist, world times, contemporary affairs and some other sources.....for good marks we need to present full analysis of the topic...cramming and conventional approach is no longer appreciated....there must be maps, quotes and references...your whole paper should have scholarly essence.Secondly, try to attempt those questions which are little bit different and which are not attempted by majority.Relevancy should be there...your paper should'nt have any other heading except what have been asked...you every heading must point towards the same conclusion (the topic)....make headings and write more than 6 pages.
As for as pak affairs is concerned....it hardly gives you more than 45 marks.so prepare it but dont try to master it...use your energy in other subjects which can fetch you good marks....for pak affairs...Quotations are very important.Secondly always present the indepth analysis of the topic and support your arguments with the help of quotations.trek to pak is must have book in this respect. Finally, i would suggest consult as many sources of knowledge as you can...and make short notes of both subjects...last year,i couldnt revise both subject on the day before paper because i didnt have complete short notes.so short notes are very important.
Regards.

You are going to be part of the supreme services...F.Sc. Is very small level. In fsc cramming is appreciated and topics are limited while in css analytical skills are appreciated..topics are virtually endless and have no standard answer. So in css exact answer is not anything...its your approach which can fetch good marks....so no comparison.
You can consult fsc books for eds paper.

On a lighter note getting admission in UET Lahore is far tougher than passing CSS exam.

Disagree brother. There is no comparison of a 3 hours, 400 marks entry test based on ECAT with 12 papers with at least 6 papers of Masters level, followed by a series of tests and a mammoth interview.

For UET, only pre-requisite of 950+ marks in F.Sc might be tough but after the criteria of respective exams is chalked out, I think CSS is way tougher.

But yes. The system of admission in UET is efficient than current procrascinated system of induction in Civil Services. It at least wastes a complete year of successful candidates.
