Ans: i discussed the concept of power then realist dimension of power politics. War is result of imbalance : [B]as i dint know Morgenthau,s concept i wrote follwing points & then discussed them regarding Morgenthau,s concept of Balance: [/B] 1) Big power plays a dominant role in allaince regarding balancing in region 2) Balance favours status quo 3)balanced is establised by active intervention 4) Absolute balance doesnt exist 5) states seek balance that favours them then i discussed war of spanish succession that was fought for balance alliances against napolean alliance against germans in ww1 power vaccum due to u.s isolationist policy resulted in WW2 |

Yes I chose Pressler amendment in the paper but now I am trying to relate it with Cold war and confused whether this is the right answer or not. |
Int Relations or Law?
now that you guys have given this paper, would you say International Relations is a better option than International Law?? Im being told by everyone to go for Int Law God knows why. They say Law is easier. Well, what about it?

it depends on your own skills. if you have interest in foreign affairs, conspiracies, politics then IR is more interesting than IL. Although today just two halls for IR rest of all for others :) |

Today there were hardly 20 candidates with IR in our hall. rest of the candidates were having I law. |
