Default Tips for Pushto...

Pushto is very interesting and scoring subject. It is easy too, but getting top marks in it is no easy as true for other subject of css. But few things i would like to share.
1) It is very important to get high marks in it,for it can boost your merit at the cost of little investment of time compare to other subjects.
2) Pohana(Author Sahar Gul Katozai) is the bible of css Pushto syllabus.
3) Those whose academic have throughout been in Private schools or where in public schools, they have not been through Pushto, they need a little bit more efforts, but no need to worry, they can learn how to write the text easily by just reading Pashto magazines like Khyber Taroon.
4) Besides, Rehman Baba and Khushal Khattak life, poetry etc should be very part of our memory.
5) For idioms, though Pohana is enough, yet for those who are interested, they should visist a bookshop just attached to Peshawar Uni Pashto Department. I forget the author name, yet just asking for Pushto idioms will be suffice.
Last,read http://www.akhbarekhyber.com/tarun_magazine.php,it will help alot.

Aspiriants commenting paper was tough , also by keeping in consideration CSS 2012 Pashtu marks , i think i shouldnt opt it for CSS 2014.
(plus i am novice to Pashtu writing , reading )

What you all say ?

i have observed the DMS of at least 15-20 candidates ( failed + qualified ) and nobody crossed the figure of 60. I myself scored 52 which was very low score according to my expectations, but after the final result a few candidates shared their DMS on this forum and none of them scored even 50.
Its better to opt US history or Journalism etc.

@mani. 2012 was a bad year for languages (especially Pashto). I had scored 73 in 2010 attempt (the attempt was a so so one and I did not do the paper good). In my 2012 attempt, I scored 39 although I believed I was superb in the paper. FPSC has a habit of targeting specific subjects each year. Some times its journalism, sometimes sociology etc. 2012 was the year when Pashto/Regional languages were targeted. there is no reason to fear that it will be targeted in 2014. So its a safe choice for 2014. Pa pato stargo ey wakhla

All the regional languages have not been targeted, only Pushtu has been badly targeted. If you go through all the DMS of qualified candidates of 2012, you'll find a number of students obtained 80+ marks in Punjabi, but in Pushtu nobody crossed even 60.
Yes, i tend to agree with you that some subject(s) are targeted each year, so this year Pushto might be on the target. Second reason for low score might be that sometimes we take this paper for granted and don't prepare for it properly. I got 52 in 2012 and again opted it in 2013, lets see what happen this year.
@ mani g : If you have made your mind to take Pushtu as your optional, then you can go for it. If you prepare yourself properly, then you can score good marks, plus i must say that almost all the aspirants only rely on a single book " POHANNA" which doesn't cover 100% material, we need to study other books too.

Regards
