They just added NGOs to confuse us. point is most social research is carried out by NGO's. As for the applicability of this these types of research. Research depends on your objective. And objectives are of 4 types. Descriptive just defines an issue. explanatory gives reasons for the issue. Correlational establishes relationship between variables. exploratory is prelimenary research. Now all you had to do was describe these types. Make examples in your head and add word NGO's. Like. "an NGO undertakes a correlational research to understand whether theres a relationship between a dysfunctional family setup and drug abuse"

The fact of the matter still remains that they can use different types of mentioned researches (such as interviews, etc.) to gather required information.

As always, the examiner is the final authority on the content and it's relevance or lack thereof.

Time will tell who is right-er! D:

The answer that I wrote for question 4 was as follows:

The definition of culture and its characteristics
Then I talked about how culture can be manipulated by the state to enforce its agenda
I gave the examples of Urdu Bengali controversy and the French ban on hijab and religious expression in public.

Regards

Good but I didn't write any definition or any introduction, I only tried to prove how rigid control over culture becomes a menace... Examples of totalitarian regimes and sociological theories of sorokin, durkheim etc

I didnot mention theories :/ they always strengthen the answer. It was a smart choice on your part. One question though Durkheim as far as I have studied and understood him is in favor of social integration as it promotes social order. How did you incorporate him in your answer, i'm interested.

Not only integration, Durkhiem supported integration+regulation... According to him balance between both is necessary for social order, when Regulation exceeds permissible limits (ie regarding culture) society falters (over regulated culture becomes a menace)

I've got a question if you would be so kind to answer, can we use examples of Pakistan in this question, about how Pakistanis aren't taught the right history in some cases and the culture is deliberately described wrongly to us?

I'm asking this because although these are good examples, I'm not sure Fpsc would like this type of answer and I don't want to spoil my paper.
