(i) Part-II is to be attempted on the separate Answer Book.
(ii) Attempt ONLY FOUR question from PART-II. ALL question carry EQUAL marks.
(iii) All the parts (if any) of each question must be attempted at one place instead of at different places.
(iv) Candidate must write Q. No. in the Answer Book in accordance with Q. No. in the Q. Paper.
(v) No Page/Space be left blank between the answer. All the blank pages of Answer Book must be crossed.
(vi) Extra attempt of any question or any part of the attempted question will not be considered.

Q 2. What does the right of private defence of body and property extend to the causing of death of assailant? Under what circumstances in the exercise of this right, risk of harm to any innocent is condoned? (20)

Q.3 What are necessary particulars for a formal charge in criminal trial? What are exceptions to general rule that there has to be a separate charge for every independent offence? (20)

Q.4 Who is an accomplice and what is his legal status with reference to his evidence? (20)

Q.5 Hearsay evidence is no evidence. Discuss. Are there any exceptions to this rule? (20)

Q.6 Differentiate between return and rejection of pliant. Under what specific circumstances resort to each of them can be had? Discuss in detail. (20)

Q.7 Describe the powers of court to remove an arbitrator, revoke his authority and modify an award. (20)

Q.8 Discuss the judicial hierarchy of civil courts at original and appellate level as set up by the Civil Courts Ordinance, 1962. Specific powers of different courts be also indicated. (20)
