Life is no life without controversy. But why one should not choose safe havens of conformism.
Introduction:
Controversy means Disagreement, Conflict, Difference of opinion. Conformism is derived from conformity which means obedience and acceptance of social norms and values. Interpretation, Implications and Importance. Thesis: There should be a balance between the two.

Philosophical arguments:
1. Total conformity ->Boredom and monotony. Controversy -> Vibrance and spice of life.
2. Conformism saves one from criticism and punishment but leads to lack of personal opinion.-> Man is a rational animal. -> Needs to have Opinions -> Buys others' beliefs -> Xenocentrism (Pakistanis accept capitalism, democracy and whatever originates in the west without seeing if it suits us). Disagreement leads to criticism-> debate -> formation of opinions ->indigenous culture.
Examples
1. Sir Syed: Conformist towards British, Controversial for the prevailing environment among Muslims; created a balance on realistic lines; emancipated his nation.
2. Quaid-e-Azam: Conformist as in he didn't invoke civil disobedience movements. Controversial since he challenged status quo; used a realistic approach in creating a balance between the two. Hence carved a country.
3. Martin Luther King: Conformist as in he used peaceful protests. Controversial since he challenged the status quo. Created a balance on realistic lines according to the situation -> Emancipated his race.
4. Nelson Mandela: Same

Counter Argument:
For times of peace, conformism sounds better. However, vested interest groups manipulate masses. Room for improvement doesn't end. There should be disagreement to generate new ideas.

Conclusion: Balance between the two. Inclination towards controversy. (The entire write-up reflected the same)

Please comment if I'll pass this one :cry

The essay has been justified very effectively. If the same is expanded in the paper then it will give you good marks.. aise essays karna b to kisi kisi ka hi kamal hota hai.
Life is no life without controversy. But why one should not choose safe havens of conformism.

I have almost completely ignored controversy part in my essay. may be mentioned at some place.

Focussed on conformity instead, conformity vs rebel was debate

But what i fear is that i also ignored 'Save Haven' term. Which gives a more temporary effect to the topic. Like if it means, if a person is Non Conformist, he should not choose conformity as a requirement. In a way save haven term link essay more to Controversy.

Dont know to what extent i missed the topic.
