Such papers see too difficult at first glance but once you start writing, everything is alright. The best way is to start from attempting the easiest question. I finished off the whole paper in 2 hours.

A paper demanding the background knowledge, wisdom and concrete analysis is the one that should be the standard of CSS. It fulfills the same criteria. I borrow the above opinion, this paper is going to be high scoring for the real scholars as per my prediction.

i dont think this paper is really that tough, just read the questions carefully, u`ll find them easy.

Q3. “Non-recognition of a government can be amounted to denying the recognition of the state itself as it is the governments that do international business on behalf of the states.” Argue in affirmative this statement with particular reference to Constitutive Theory of Recognition.
[ recognition and constitutive theory, quite straight forward, u can do this question easily.]

Q4. Lord Curzon once said, “Frontiers are indeed the razor’s edge on which hang suspended the modern issues of war or peace, of life or death to nations.” Explain in this light the various modes of acquisition of territory by a state. [modes of acquisition, just shed some light on his saying and write modes of acquisition. question hoajata, again easy]

Q5. What are the various kinds of treaties in international law? Explain the laws about formation, interpretation and termination of treaties. [very straight forward, kinds of treaties are given in starke and tandon book. how they are formed terminated etc. quite simple]

Q6. What is Veto? How, when and by whom it is used? What consequences Pakistan had to face in the past because of its use by a former superpower?
[ u can define veto and can say UN permanent members of SC can use veto, us president can use veto, at provincial lvels in some countries PM ANd governors have power to veto, even u can give reference of pvt organizations where bosses use their veto power. etc. shed some light on the 2nd part, yeh bhi question hojata.]
Q7. Explain with reference to the relevant articles of the UN Charter that whether the world body is authorized to intervene in the domestic jurisdiction of its member states. [intervention aur agar aapko articles yaad hain tou well and good warna intervention likhne per bhi marks miljate]

Q8. Write short notes on any FOUR of the following:
(a) Protectorate (b) Prize Courts (c) Extradition
(d) Double Nationality (e) Continental Shelf (f) Universal Declaration of Human Rights

U can write on any four of the above, extradition asaan, priuze court etc.

I think those who found this paper quite difficult, didnt prepare it well. otherwise it looks mazedar paper to solve.
i agree with mumtaz maneka, all the common topics were there, not a tough paper as someone calls it.

It wasn't tough one. and I believe I. Law would be scoring one.
Specially Short notes question those have attempted would be having good marks .
The question about treaties and Veto were also nice.
The paper of 2011 was rather complicated.
