TIME ALLOWED: 3 HOURS MAXIMUM MARKS: 100

NOTE: Attempt FIVE questions in all, including Question No.8,which is Compulsory. All questions carry equal marks.


1. President John Adams inherited George Washington’s policy problems but not his aura of leadership. Elaborate.

2. The American Civil War brought revolutionary dangers in warfare, but more important, produced significant economic and political reconstruction in the country. Discuss.

3. Monroe Doctrine was a Charter of America’s Isolation. Still what circumstances compelled U.S.A. to plunge into the World Wars.

4. Describe Pan-Americanism with special reference to Latin American Republics.

5. J.F. Kennedy was many men. He was a statesman and politician. Analyze his domestic reforms.

6. What are the sources of government Revenues and Funds in U.S.A.? Is it true to say that the Americans pay taxes for civilized society?

7. Write short notes on any TWO of the following:

Can anybody please suggest length of answers for questions in US History paper?

as long as that satisfies u.u have to listen to ur inner feeling that u have penned enough,making sure that no aspect has been left untouched revelant to the question.there is no hard and fast rules abt the length of answers..only u need to see that ur answer should be comprehensive enough not to leave anything important.it may take 6 sheets for one answer and it may take two sheets.

Well in my opine answer needs to be comprehensive. It depends on the query they re asking. u may right a short note according to the question or you may need to elucidate it by starting from the very history of the matter and then touching the main topic and finally making an epilogue.
