Default "Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park" Project

Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park (QASP) project is the first energy project under $46 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Govt has ambitious plan to build the worlds largest solar farm which includes 400000 solar panels over 200 hactares of flat desert in Cholistan desert. Project is started and completed for 100MW but the plan is to complete till 2017 which has total capacity of 5.2 million PV cell producing as much as 1000MW of electricity.

Can anyone discuss its positives and negatives in terms of culture, geography, biologically, scientifically, socially and politically?

1st Solar power project completes in lesser time as compared to others 2 increase of commercial activities through road nets 3 livelihood as it would attrack foreign and local ones.4 environmental friendly so no carbons or coal 5 would give electricity to 320000 houses 6 country would rely 60% on hydrocarbons by 2025 which is now 87%

1 political test of pmnl as security is two fold required 1 to national asset which is qsap 2 to local and foreign workers as Well as locals as 400 Chinese workers are there and place is surrounded by criminal activities 2 qsap would sell 0.17$ per unit solar power to grid which much higher as compared to hydro which is 0.07% 3 analyst also says that wind power project can generate more electricity than solar one abt 120000mw.4 it would generate at day but demand is at night tooo 5 require cleaning of solar panels for it to work effectively and it required 15 to 20 days so hard toiling task 6 it would contribute only 20% to totally energy demand 7 and last . wild Life would desturb like Indian gazella, houbara bustard .etc

But to be cult country would rely on projects like these wind solar hydro rather carbon producing projects by 2025.....

Well, a massive project but of very little benefit for the country.

What if, this massive budget be spent on Dams, which serve 1000% more than a solar project. Our leaders are well aware of the forthcoming onslaught on the issue of Water, and still they are spending money in garbage.

Source dawn .kindly correct me if I am wrong in it..and kindly share more merits and demerits of it..

And last but not the least it has high capex and low OPEx means renewable projects costs lot but not costly in fuel terms and maintaince which is one of the advantages..and also country should install maximum mix of such projects of solar hydro and wind in this way nonrenewable resources though can't be removed yet should be relied less
