According to the recent press release of ISPR, on the occasion of completion of two years it was made public that most of the objectives of operation are achieved, 3600 sq KM of north waziristan has been secured, 3500 militants killed, almost 7500 IED making factories destroyed. All this has been achieved with the sacrifice of soldiers who are martyred, 490 soldiers are martyred. Hundreds of tonnes of explosive is also recovered.
The security situation has been improved after launch of operation, bomb blasts and suicide attacks are rarely seen, peace and stability restored. It should be noted that this operation was triggered by Karachi Airport attack and after failure of talks with Talban. This strategic decision was taken under the capable leadership of General Raheel. It is very important that who is the successor of Raheel, does he carries out the policies and comes out hard at militant, or Talbans will re-enter from porous border and carry out there work to destabilize Pakistan.
