Default How can we believe in God's existence without seeing Him?

How can we believe in God's existence without seeing Him?
How you can prove that God exists because no one has seen Him ever, we prove only felt Him. Now what ever logic we give non_muslims have a scientific reson to negate us.
So how you will convince any non_muslim?

The topic mentioned above is good known as "Shirk". Those who came to doubt on the existence of God faced ample disasters in past. Our Holy Book "Qur`an Majeed" itself a great evidence.

Vision cannot reach him
But he can come within view of whom he choses
Hearing cannot reach him
But he can broadcast upon whom he beseeches
Unseen is he yet he watches over all
Say he is ALLAH
The creator of every great and every small

Vision cannot reach him
But he can come within view of whom he select
Knowledge cannot reach him
But he can enlighten whom he elect
Unfathomable is he yet he is the foundation of all
Say he is ALLAH
The creator of every great and every small

I abhor to comment anything else in this regard. I prefer to curb such topic.

Allah Nagheban,

Whenever such question arose in my mind, I only recall the following...
Its in Hadees Shareef...

"Allah Ki Zaat Pe Ghoor na karo balke uski Siffaat pe ghor karo"

I found the following site related to this topic...

See the material under the topic "Faith in the Unknown"

Rationalizing is a dangerous way to prove the existance of God.
People often use rationlaization to prove the existance of God and at the same time we muslims also try to follow the same path which often leads to the wrong conclusion. Although there is nothing wrong with it, the best way is to approach the way the Quran and the Sunnah has told us to do so.

Allaah says in the Qur'aan:
"Verily, in the creation of the Heavens and the Earth, and in the alternation of the night and day, and the ships that sail through the sea with that which is of benefit to human-kind, and the rain which Allaah sends down from the sky and makes the earth alive therewith after its death, and the moving (living) creatures of all kinds that He scatters therein, and in the changes in the direction of the winds, and the clouds which are held between the sky and the earth, are indeed Aayaat (proofs, signs, evidences) for a people of understanding" [Baqarah 2:164]

Default ALLAH,The creator and most powerful..

well, being muslims we should believe in ALLAH without seeing him. That is what our religion teach us....
Quran and Sunnah provides us proof of the existence of ALLAH.
scientists try to prove everything scientifically and philosophers take assistance of logic..
but human mind has certain limitations...we can,t perceive each and everything..
but, yes, we can feel existence of ALLAH if we only observe our routine matters.
our matters of life tells us that there is some great power behind every happening and this power is power of ALLAH...
As far as logic is concerned....in this matter logic is not enough.
Russel is supposed to b a great philosopher, who tried to draw everything logically. But i,m not satisfied with his logic in this matter.

Hi ....I was astonshed when some one blamed anarkali to be in shirk while starting this topic. There is no shirk in it .This is a very good and important topic specially for those who confront to non musluim intellectual at daily basis so we shall be aware of it otherwise we will be in trouble in this coming era.Ok ,now coming to topic. Why shall one bleive in god withouts seeing him. Let us see this topic in the perspective of science. It has been approved by science that there is something outside the uiverse which we called the space and time. we are yet unable to crack this boundry but its a common prove and humman will no doubt reach if god permists him.Ok now the other part is seeing.seeing comes in senses but it has been proved that humman can see upto 2 percent though vales can see 4 so does it mean that vales that animal are far more superior then us. No. Before coming to quranic concept .let us examine opther religion which we are aware too.Take hindusim.they blevie that god is like humman though he is stronger then humman being but comparing god is too an stupied god because he is like nothign that we have yet observed or about to observed so seeign god is not a problem but follwing gods divine words is problem.Ok but there is another problem that why followign the scripture to an unknown god so quran says that implement the gods principal and u will find this world a janati mashara therfore quranic concpet is quite different from other scriptures becasue u can get result in few years but implementation shall be collective isntead of individual and then surely u will blevie in god and his divinty.

we can answer this question in two ways.......one group of people would say that we have to believe in Allah blindly, because there is no physical proof of his existence,
while,
the other group would see Allah in everything......this group does not believe in Allah blindly as they see that this whole universe could not have come into being without the hand of a divine being........ science has yet to proof how this universe came to be......even many scientists believe that all the intricate processes that were required for this universe to be, would not have taken place without some divine intervention.

The proof of Allah is in everything around us........science has yet to unravel the mysteries of nature, the theory of evolution is just that, a theory........all things in this universe are in perfect balance.....all things in this universe are ruled by laws......be they laws of physics, chemistry or some other force which we are yet to discover.

how can anything, from the smallest particle of an atom to the brightest and biggest star, all conform to laws??????........how is it that everything is balanced in this universe????????? or more importantly, WHY are they balanced??????
the answer is that they follow rules, they follow the law........but whose rules, whose law?????? and herein comes the proof for the existence of Allah......without HIS power none of this would have come into being.

Islam reveres the One and Only God, known as Allah (الله) in Arabic. The Islamic belief is that God is the "only creator and master of the universe". The main fundamental creed (shahadah) of Islam is "There is no god but (one) God, and Muhammad is the messenger of God". Muslims believe that Allah is the same deity as God of Christians and Jews.

Allah is the personal name of God[1] used by all Arabic speakers, whatever their religion, including Arab Christians and Jews. Consequently, the word is used in Arabic translations of Tanakh and the Gospels (the Old and New Testaments), as well as in Indonesian and old Turkish translations of the Bible. Arabic speakers of all faiths, whether Jewish, Christian, or Muslim, use the word "Allah" to mean "God".

God's Attributes

Muslims consider God to be:

One and Unique
Alone
Without Son or Father
Without Partners
Omnipotent (The Almighty)
Omniscient (All Seeing)
Gracious
Merciful
Forgiving
"The Lord"
The Lord of all of the heavens and the earth
Attentive to the prayers of His servants
Seer
All Hearing
The All Wise
All Best Names Belong to Him
The Qur'an describes Oneness of God in Sura 112:

1. Say: He is God, the One
2. God, the Eternal, Absolute
3. He begetteth not, nor is he begotten
4. And there is none like unto him. „

The Qur'an also defines attributes of God:

Say: "Call upon God, or call upon Ar-Rahman (the Beneficient) by whatever name ye call upon him, (it is well): for to him belong the Most Beautiful Names. Neither speak thy Prayer aloud, nor speak it in a low tone, but seek a middle course between."

God's omniscience

The Qur'an describes God as being fully aware of everything that happens in the universe, including private thoughts and feelings:

It is He who doth take your souls by night, and hath knowledge of all that ye have done by day: by day doth He raise you up again; that a term appointed be fulfilled; In the end unto Him will be your return; then will He show you the truth of all that ye did.

The Qur'an states that the proclamation of faith (Arabic: Shahaada) is: "There is no god except Allah" (Arabic: Laa ilaaha illa Allaah), In literal terms this would be translated as "There is no god but God."

Allah! There is no god but He, the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory).

There is no god but He: That is the witness of Allah, His angels, and those endued with knowledge, standing firm on justice. There is no god but He, the Exalted in Power, the Wise.

Know, therefore, that there is no god but Allah, and ask forgiveness for thy fault, and for the men and women who believe: for Allah knows how ye move about and how ye dwell in your homes.

Your Ilah (God) is one Ilah (God - Allah); there is none who has the ight to be worshipped but He), Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Verily! This is the true narrative (about the story of Isa/Jesus), and Laa ilaaha illallaah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, the One and the Only True God, Who has neither a wife nor a son). And indeed, Allah is the All Mighty, the All Wise.

Allah! Laa ilaaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). Surely, He will gather you together on the Day of Resurrection about which there is no doubt. And who is truer in statement than Allah?

Prohibition of Idolatry and polytheism

Islam says that Allah is only one God, and anyone worshipping more than one God is a polytheist. This is taken to include the Christian concept of the Trinity. To affirm this belief, Muslims have to repeat the following in their daily prayers:"You alone We worship, and only Your aid We seek.

Other Qur'anic verses that show this position are:

They disbelieved who say: God is one of three (in a Trinity): for there is no god except One God. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous chastisement will befall the disbelievers among them.

Wonderful Originator of the heavens and the earth: How can He have a son when He hath no consort? He created all things, and He hath full knowledge of all things.

Islam holds that Allah cannot be seen or directly experienced by the senses. Therefore, the belief that one may physically see God is held to be a sort of polytheism.

Other Qur'anic verse that show this position are:
"No vision can grasp Him, but His grasp is over all vision: He is Subtle well-aware (of all things)."

Thus do We explain the Signs by various (ways): that they may say, "Thou hast learnt this (from somebody)," and that We may make the matter clear to those who know.

Salam All,

I think, to prove or disprove God is beyond human senses capabilities. Quantum Physics tells us that human beings can perceive what they can sense. Since God is beyond reach of human senses, therefore it's illogical to say God does exists or does not exist based on senses for human cant be sure either way. I have not seen something does not mean it does not exist.
