The concept of Muslim Ummah is dying as Kashmir bleeds
 

There are many questions coming up in news regarding the muslim "ummah" silence on Kashmir .
irrespective of Turkey and Malaysia, the rest of 54 Muslim countries , bifurcated on sect lines , are watching Indian atrocities in Indian Occupied Kashmir.
The Iran Supreme Leader ,so far , condemend the Indian action but didn't say much .
While, UAE confer highest civilan award ,Order of Zayed ,to Modi. Plus, Bahrain also calling Modi for a state visit,making him the first indian priemer to visit island nation .
Not only this, Pakistan foremost ally, Saudia Arabia , has recently announced of buying 20% share in India's Reliance company .
Sad to say that economic interest of ME countries has led to Palestine annexation and destruction of Yemen, Syria ,Iraq ,and now Kashmir.
Amid this , what options does Pakistan have to accumulate support from Muslim countries ? (because the criplling OIC statement failed to yeild any pragmatic outcome )
I request all to participate in this debate.

I do think there is something as a Muslim Ummah. However, the relations between modern nation states are not affected by this notion. In the realm of international relations, interests reign supreme while romanticism takes a back seat.

I think that it is naive to think on the lines of Muslim majority nations supporting each other based on their shared beliefs unless the interests are also shared. Most importantly, it is worth remembering, that a state does what it perceives to be in its best interest in this temporal world not in a hereafter seeking validation from God. This is stating the obvious but it has to be said.

It also vindicates the view that religion and ideologies do not provide any foundation for strong relations among nations.
