An Airport is a place where various agencies work. like I said ASF is responsible for the security of airports. Airports are owned, built and operated by PCAA.

I have gone through many threads of this forum people discouraged to join this department in a very strict manner.

what's your educational background?

If you are in a semi-government organization then you are going to lose your seniority and all the increments that have been applied on your pay scale.
if you are in a purely government organization and have applied through proper channel then your seniority may be counted.

In that case, I would not recommend switching. You'll have many better opportunities ahead In Sha Allah.

Look one thing.. Police officer even FIA officers are not satisfied with their job. You get advice from them they will forbid you to join. Its nuisance of our society. You should join it. People can not guide you in right way. Every one has his own perception. Every department has rules to deal with staff and there are kind as well as harsh officers. One thing more, every department has its own worth. If FIA has To operate it will remain in certain kind domain. Staff deployed at public places faces rudeness as well as nice gesture.. recently a DIG police has been attacked by his servant.. so it part of life. Its no means that ASF has no powers. It is created for something so it has worth. When you will there are many persons in department who will curse you that why are you joining it. One more thing UNO is asking to ASF for staff for UNO mission. Due to lacking of staff they are not sending. It will be great initiative once deficiency overcome. Its in pipeline...

Hello dear sir!
Allow me to remove your confusion please.
First of all, I would like to apprise you that ASF is no more a subsidiary of the Ministry of Defence (MOD). There was a section in the GHQs responsible for looking after the affairs of this force but, currently, it's the Cabinet Division responsible to look after the affairs of this force.
Secondly, while joining this force, factor into the following:
1. Physical training: You'll have to go through the mandatory physical training;
2. You can be posted anywhere in the country. If you're a female then you'll get your home station as a matter of federal government's policy;
3. Duty rosters are female friendly;
4. Leave is not that big deal, this chap got leave for04 time even during the span of 02 months (in training) and,
5. It's a small but very efficient and 'clean' force with nil or very marginal corruption.
Now, let me introduce its negative points:
First, you'll have to work under the relevant military rules and regulations in terms of discipline but the perks and privileges will not be that of even a Police inspector. Pak Army reigns supreme there and its personnel will be having a strong grip over the senior positions of CSO at al. Moreover, it's chief and Dy. Chief comes from the Pak Army.
Furthermore, it's a force in the real sense of the term, it's not a joke like Police, FIA and IB.
Having said this, I would like you to analyse the situation whether you're after a service for the sake of service or otherwise? The ball is in your court now.
