worst power crisis and the kalabagh dam
 

as u know all that pakistan is facing worst power crisis these days..
these power shutdowns are affecting eechi beechi majorly our daily life routines and the industries production as well.

so in this scenario all of you guys are invited to comment on whether the kalabagh dam should be constructed or not to meet the ever increasing power demands of pakistan?

Now We Should Come Out Of The Sectarianism And Other Such Regional Issues And Go For National Issues........i Strongly Favour That Kalabagh Dam Should Be Constructed Immediatly As Irt Is The Matter Of Our Beloved Country And Nation.

Kala bagh Dam Con generate upto 3600 MW electrcity

Y it is Preffered Over Basha Dam?;
basha is more enviormenmental hazardeous and dier is no good road for transportation to basha dam to supply machinhey and material used to build basha dam.. and the hight problem is also dier " i m not sure wat the exact height of basha dam from sea level"but its more than kalabbagh..which is nog good ..and basha dam is also close and infact located in sesmic region and strong earthquake can creat a big problem......
As far as NWFP concern over Kala Bagh dam dat i case of flood the valley of nowshera and peshwar will be flooded ...infact dis concern is based upon history ..when in 1929 i guess it was heavy flood and drowned all peshawar and nowshera..so they think kalabagh dam could cast dis problem...but flood in 1929 was maily due to kabal river.

if all hydel Resouces to generate enery are tapped ..country can generate alomst over 30000 MW.
Other sources that can b used are like Nuclear and Coal, and Solar

i would agree with syed zia .... its about time ... v should start thinking about the supreme national interests rather than regional issues
