NWFP is pressurized not by the foreigners but only by the USAz. Nothing wrong with ppl of NWFP as ppl is facing chaos 4 no fault. NWFP is located near Afghanistan and USA has already got a strong hold in Afghanistan after incident of 9/11. Pakistan is the only Muslim nuclear power and since then under the strict vigilance of USA. USA wants to snatch the nuclear power and chalking out various strategies at various times. First Musharraf left no stone unturned to put Pakistani nation in ever worst crises of history. Now so-called democratic rulers are prolonging the same strategies and bending the knees before USA. Calling themselves civilianized English ruler intend to conquer central Asia especially Pakistan. The brutal tyranny in Swat in the name of Tailban is an absolute effort to create the bad names of Muslims. Islam is un-doubtfully the complete and peaceful religion. I at least can’t believe that Muslim can slaughter the Muslim. Ok coming to point. USA perhaps intend to reign the Pak. The purpose of brutality in NWFP might be to get all people out of the NWFP to pave the way to advance further towards other areas of Pakistan. I hvnt studied the Pak History but hv bit idea that Dr. Khan of NWFP was not acceding to join Pakistan at the time of Partition. Reason is only the hilly and safe area from security point of view. By entering into NWFP, target of USA will b no more away. If our beloved ruler will not awake, the fire is near to catch our own houses. May Allah keep us safe.

Excuse me! Mr. KK advocate, sir please can you tell me from where did you get the idea that "only these (N.W.F.P) people are wrong"
Let me tell you, before coming to you main question, that these were the people who fought, side by side , with army as unpaid soldiers in Kashmir valley and got you a substantial part of Kashmir- now independent Kashmir. Even now when you faced the threat of an invasion from India, even then the most wrong people ( the Talibans) announced a solidarity with you. Before 2004 your Govt did not need to install even a single unit of army at the western boarders, despite the fact that Afghan government ever remained hostile to Pakistan and claimed N.W.F.P it part ( Taliban govt is the exception ). Mr. Rana G also pointed that Dr. Khan Abdul Ghafar Khan was not willing to join Pakistan. That's true, but also remember that only N.W.F.P was the province that chose to join Pakistan through a popular referendum, it means that the people of Pakistan heartly welcomed Pakistan and even rejected their popular leaders.
Now come to you Question. Why is N.W.F.P so disturbed? Sir, south-asian region, Particularly, the area of Afghanistan, and north-west region of the Indian continent has been strategically important for centuries Greek invaders came through this area, of course, Muslims came through this area to India. This area is the key to the precious mineral reserves all surrounding countries and area around Afghanistan have immense reserves of oil and gas and other minerals-exploration in Afghanistan have not been possible because of continual wars. That was why USSR invaded Afghanistan, to make hold in the region. And think that why US was interested to defeat USSR- though there are other reasons but one of them is she too was interested in the area. And you should always remember that the people of the tribal area (FATA) in Pakistan and trans-border tribes in Afghanistan are relatives. So when one area is disturbed its effects immediately reach the other area ( let me tell you an event to which I am witness, in August,2001 I traveled to FATA and stayed both in North Waziristan and South Waziristan for few days. Then there was Taliban govt in Afghanistan which had banned the show of arms in markets, the people in our area themselves put bane in their region - without any intervention from Taliban.)
And also take it in your mind there is a war of western powers, your core enemy India is also involved in the area and all these powers don't care for any moral scruple they even don't hesitate to tell lies ( US told a biggest lie while invading Iraq - that Iraq has WMD's ). It's not difficult to guise yourself as Taliban - you only need to have beard and long hair. There have been incidents that after death some Taliban appeared Hindus. On the other hand your govt is persistently bombing their houses and killing their children and women ( one of my friends aunt and cousin killed in such bombardment. This act converts them to Taliban side. Rustum Shah Mohmand, a former ambassador once said, "India never attacked Kashmiries by air bombing, although they are Muslims and fighting for their freedom." Now consider what effects our govts attacks cause.
Also have it in your mind that why is Pakistan fighting this war on terror, only to help United States other than this we have no grievance to Taliban, they were the only force that favoured Pakistan through out the history. There was no Talibanization inside Pakistan when Taliban were in Power, why now Talibanization is growing so rapidly ( You should know that there are Punjabi Talibans also ). Besides there are conspiracies, but our people too don't like US occupation of Afghanistan, particularly of FATA region, so they at least try to help real Taliban to get liberty.
Another thing must be remembered that during Soviet invasion our country faced the same law and order situation, there were bombing and killings. In such situation N.W.F.P is directly hit as it is the neighboring province of Afghanistan, sharing a long border with it.
Please, sir try to correct your knowledge. I Think you have never been in NWFP nor you have any interaction to it people, they are beautiful ,brave and hardworking people. Hospitality is there custom. Religion is there passion.
One thing more I would like to tell you, there are more than 500 districts in USA, inhabited by red-Indian tribes, where there tribal law is followed. United States doesn't interfere in their regional matters. Then why do she interfere in our tribal areas and Sawat. Who is she to tell us how to live. If we observe 'Parda' what is she to do with it, it is our religion our custom. And why do we not allow people to live in their own way.
Concern of WOMEN RIGHTS ORGANIZATIONS is only in this area and against, Why don't they protest against Dr. Afia, and where were these Organizations when army was bombing Jamia Hafza, there were innocent girls who had been burnt alive. I hope that you are aware of that there are more cases of women harassment in Punjab than in NWFP, as it was assessed by on of our Pakistani News channels.
I hope you will consider it.
regards.
