Smile Is Military Govt:Better Than Democracy in Pakistan ?

The Kind of dirty politics being played by Politicians is actually inviiting Military to Intervene in Civilian matters, and that will ultimately lead to Military coup , as it did happen in recent past,But what ordinary citizens think about all this, as students which Form of Govt should We support as All of us ( Members of this Community ) must have seen Both Military Govt,as well As civilian setup, The kind of difference i feel between Two setups is that During Military Regime Decisions were Made and Implemented Not taking Long time But During Democracy ,decisions are first of all Taken after long considerations, and lets Suppose Decisions are Taken but their execution took much longer time , i am not saying at all that Military Rule is Better than Democracy but Democracy must Carry With it Quick mechanism Both at Decision Level As well As During Execution.

In my opinion let democracy settle its roots in the system. We are not allowing democracy to flourish and we just wait for a coup. Hardly 1 year is passed and we started to get rid of democracy . What army have done to our country will take time to clean it .
Give chance to democracy to flourish no matter instability is there but in the end they will learn that democracy will not flourish this way and some solution will come out.

Regards

I think as a nation we are quite adventurous, we like novelty. Thats why after couple of years we start looking forward to something new, something unseen and something unusual.........

According to the facts & figure we achieved lots of things in Dictatorship rather then democracy ...we had examples like DAMs in Zia regime, growth of Agricultural industry in Musharaf regime..etc

Please for God sake dont hide reality. Dams have never been benficial for our country rather ruined our agriculture. If you are unaware go and watch the sands in the trunk of river indus which was once cause of floods in the region. Pplz are looking for the drop of water to cultivate their lands. Is that green revolution which came due to dams? Not a single Watt was generated during the Mushraf era . Is that what we need.

Zia gave us Kelashankov culture, TT Pistols , Urban Terrorism and Dacoits . Musharaf gave us Suicide bombers . This what you call a gifts to pakistan given from both regimes.

But we have paid a huge cost i.e. our dictators have consumed the time period of ur immature politicians. Had they not interfered in government affairs our immature politicians would have learned a mature politics. They would have reached at sensible government. Major chunk of time has been devoted to get back power from military as nations tried to achieve independence from the rivalry states. For our politicians getting rid from dictator rule has been as they have been trying to get independence from British rule Pre-Pakistan efforts. We have repeatedly started from zero point. That seems like we are playing Ludo game where one reaches at peak by his effort but a move comes which drags it down to the bottom by snake (azdaha). Again start from zero.

After getting back power from dictator our state faces the problems more or less similar to those which have seen post-independence problems.

Allah Almighty may give us maturity and will to follow the right track.

Please give democracy time.

We should learn from other nations . Bush left and no body asked him what you did what you didnt. The successor started his own policies and no body asking why u doing that.

Now give time to present govt: if they will be capable choose them again other wise reject them . But dont interrupt the process of democracy.Let it go as it is going.

Universal defination of Democracy by Abraham Lincoln , " Government of the people, for the people and by the people".

Conditions of Democracy

  • Fundamental Rights~CJ?
  • Sense of Responsibility~It is the responsibilty of govt.
  • Supermacy of Constitution~Benefits of the people are superior
  • Allegation with Institutions~or to a person?
  • Legitimacy~

Dictatorship

System of governmetn based on absolutism or authoritarianism. Concentration of all political powers in the hands of one or few. Dictators capture political power through extra constitutional means, where there is unrest or economic instability. People fed up and welcome the dictators.

Characteristic of Dictatorship
  • Absence of Liberty
  • Mobilisation of Public Opinion
  • Concentraton of Powers
  • One Party Rule
  • Sanctity of State
  • Myth of Nationalism
  • Imperialistic Intentions

Disadvantages of Dictatorship
  • Oppression and Exploitation
  • The Myth of Politicla Stability

Lord Bryce, "In a democratic governmetn the right to rule does not belong to any specific class rather all individuals of the society share this power collectively."

So what you think

Best form of dictatorship is better than the worst democracy or not ?

Before thinking keep in view India, USA, UK and current situation of Pakistan.
