For those who are wondering over the figure of per capita income

Firstly the figure mentioned by Last Island is not that high that u start wondering k ooyay itna ziada
Even with that figure Pakistan is somewhere in 130'z index even below many African countries

Secondly look at the definition on the same link
Definition: This entry shows GDP on a purchasing power parity basis divided by population as of 1 July for the same year.

Now we all know about the huge income disparities between the elite class(comprising of some thousands) nd a huge poor & common man class comprising of more than half the population.But this figure gives an average.

Also the figure is of July 08, when our so wonderful democratic government had not shown its capabilities to its fullest. I guess the current figure ll be even low
