what can i say to media now?
all govt. hospitals in punjab and balochistan are now on strike.outdoors are not working.doctors are damn serious about media. they have passed a resolution about certain rules towards media.
today meeting with shahbaz sharif of doctors at 2pm do you heard any of this news on media? where is bakhabar media, media that wants to present everything to public? i think now media is going to have hard & tough time. but i am also worried what will happen to the patients?i don't know how long its going to take for media to realise their mistakes? Lets see Allah bless Pakistan |

Aslaam o Alaikum
Media should know its limits. Its their daily routine or 2nd nature to black mail politicians, bureaucrats and now doctors. Most of the anchor person of talk shows do not have idea how to talk.......no ethics ....for example Dr.Danish......he is the idiot sitting in front of the camera, does not even know how to behvae just know how to exaggerate the small things.......So there should be some norms and rules who restricts media otherwise media will not let any department and suject to work properly. Freedom of press is ot being utilised as it was expected.I am so sorry on this selfish step of media due to which patients are suffering.

now doctors are united in Pakistan
media is going to get a tough challenge how can media present life of a patient in emergency or hospital?first rule of doctor-patient relationship is privacy and secrecy. this issue is going to get hot. and irony is that doctors will not be able to present themselves.doctors are using sms and facebook as their way of communication with people. media is going to know its limits. doctors all over Pakistan are united and determined 'its now or never' hope media soon learns its responsibility and doctors soon start their work.

Media is crossing her limits. We need to contain it within its legitimate limits.

Not media but all vested interest groups in society are crossing their limits as institutions have been collapsed and everybody is running after easy money. Remember what the Doctors do at private hospitals.

JOINT RESOLUTION
BY Pakistan Medical Association, Medical Teachers Association, Young Doctors Association, APCA and Para Medical Staff Association We condemn the sad incident which took place yesterday in the Accident and emergency Department of Jinnah Hospital, Lahore. In order to avoid such incidents in the future we demand that the following measure must be undertaken immediately: 1. The FIR registered against fifty seven doctors is condemned and must be withdrawn immediately. Legislation should be passed by the Provincial Assembly that in future no FIR will be registered against doctors on duty. 2. The intrusion of media persons hinders the performance of doctors, nurses and paramedical staff. In addition it violates the privacy of patients, an essential part of patient’s fundamental bill of rights. 3. Security guards in adequate numbers should be present at the emergency department to provide protection to doctors, nurses, para-medical staff and patients from the potential armed intrusion by people with ulterior motives. For the same reason it is demanded that security check points should be established at all entry points of the hospital. The security staff should be equipped with metal detectors and other necessary equipment. 4. Entry of unrelated / unauthorized persons including media (Print or Electronic) without prior written permission from hospital administration should be banned with immediate effect. Photography or movie-making in the premises of the hospital should be strictly prohibited. 5. Legislation should be passed by the Provincial and Federal Parliaments whereby manhandling or any form of attack on doctors, nurses and paramedical staff while on duty be declared a non-bailable offense with a minimum of three years imprisonment / or fine as a punishment. This law has already been passed and is being implemented in a neighboring country with significant reduction in such incidents. 6. Only one person should be allowed to accompany a patient in the emergency, indoor and out door settings. 7. Close circuit TVs should be installed in all parts of the hospital for surveillance and security purposes. This may provided crucial evidence against one side media propaganda. ------------------------------------------- Young Doctors Assoication Punjab had dialogue wd health secretary & govt officials today..the +ve developments r that he would make an announcement today/tomorrow in jinnah hospital regarding future security plan for doctors & code of conduct for media..d strike continues in outdoors, indoors &theatres of all punjab hospitals till further decision

Jinnah hospital incident and Role of media
As we all know that all pujab hospitals are on strike.outdoor and indoor departments are closed.even the emergency deptt of Jinnah hospital is closed. All doctors are on strike because of that media gardi.A terminally ill cancer patient brought from sheikh zaid hospital will hemoglobin 2 and platlet count 6000 died..she was the relative of some media person.they came to hospital, beat doctors, broke emergency doors, equipment.and told a different story to all the people that doctor killed a lady by wrong injection
they beat doctors,MS,DMS and principle of aimc. What do you think,is this the positive role media is playing.??this is journalism??? what you people think????what should be the solution??how we can control media gardi ? |

now media is not doing right.
senior doctors are trying to settle the issue. but media now started propaganda again. this is provoking doctor again and forcing them to take firm stand( which they must).media should be sensible.young doctors are not ready to ease on media at all situation is going to get worse. patients are going to suffer but media has crossed the line this time too far. hope it settles soon
