Default UK General Elections May 2010

Dear Members,

I want to start a debate over ongoing elections of United Kingdom. I just require your views about three major participants:

1) Conservatives (Tory Party)

2) Liberal democrats

3) Labour Party

Also vote please for any one party. For further information, Labour is continuously running their power office since May 1997.

Regards

Default election game in englad

the political situation of uk is similar like pakistan

all nominated parties take near 25-35% seats per party. the chances of combine govt is possible

plz share are 50% or above seats for any one party is necessary or not?

my means if labour take 30% seats and conservatave 35% similarly liberal democratic take 25% seats whether combine govt is possible or electin will be held again between top two parties?

Are you talking about on-going campaign or something else?

I think one party could form its Government if it wins 50% seats like Labour had enjoyed power without any sharing.

As per my best knowledge, it is necessary to acquire more than 50 % seats to form a Government.

In above case combine government would be formed. Any two parties who share power will be Government and all other parties become Opposition who will automatically become shadows.

Shadow Ministers are always from Opposition who take charge in absence of actual Ministers.

The Britishers want change now. Did anyone watch the debate program of the chiefs of Labor and conservative parties?

I don't think so coz UK cannot suffer any more if policies of labour would be stopped to continue. It is a hard fact and most of British people understand it.

Yeah definitely, you may concieve if conservatives would be in power what will happen:

Tough immigration Policies

Child trust fund and child tax credits Cut

Schools and Police Cut

Future jobs fund Scrapped

Cancer Guarantee scrapped

Jobs at risk

Living standards Hit

@ tx_ned

From some recent articles i read over UK election mechanism, it revealed to me that it is of such nature that Actually the Labour'z ll secure less % of total votes nd yet win more number of seats. Now how it is for a country often regarded as fountain head of democracy if u deny the majority to rule

Just asking u coz it might be that i,ve misunderstood the info. But if i am not, how people over dere feel over this

It is just assumption, based on Leader's debates. And actually you cannot predict the exact results ever for the General Elections.

It will hopefully the close contest between Torries and Labour but beleive me Country has been survived in recession just because of brilliant policies of Gordon Brown.

1930's and 1980's recessions were not too serius but Torries couldn't survive in both of the events.

In my personal opinion, country needs Labour Government to continue their policies.

You have truly described the myth as Government will depend on no of seats not votes; exactly like Pakistan where PPP always remains the largest party in votes but sometimes not same in seats.
