It was the consequence of political, social as well as economic disparity between both the wings of pakistan. Politically eastern pakistan was deprived from leadership of the country, despite its overwhelming majority of the population. western pakistan was economically well-off, as it was the industrial area since the age of british colonialization, and government further gave due attention to this wing for econmic progress while ignoring the eastern part, last but not the least factor was social disparity...e.g. issue of language.

In fact , the fall of Dhaka was a national blunder. The whole nation of the united Pakistan was culprit. Army , politicians and bureucracy are part of society . All of us are responsible for it .

that event was surely bound to happen

at a very first glance, one can easily locate the flaws that leaded towards the fall of dhaka.as we all are aware of this very fact that after partition the bulk of the ruling class including prime minister, president even the speakers of national assembly and coas as well were elected from the west PAKISTAN and consequently that ruling class shown immense descrimination towards the natives of east PAKISTAN.and the point to be pondered is that at the time of partition the east PAKISTAN was enormously rich in resources as compared to that of the west PAKISTAN but unfortunately east PAKISTAN was not awarded the full value of what it had.eventually that sad event took place.
along with all these facts,to be very pregmatic east PAKISTAN hasd not any firm strategic connection with the west PAKISTAN but the blood connection only.
i have portrayed the extremely short picture of that event.

Fall of Dhaka.

Fall of Dhaka was a political issue which could be handled with political sagacity but unfortunately our leaders at that time not only lacked political wisdom but also were lusty for power only.Secondly,Injustice is one curse which can be cause of fall of even greatest empires ,hence it was injustice at political ,social, and economic level which ultimately lead to this tragedy.People of East Pakistan were denied their rights ,Thomas Carlyle had rightly said,"Where there is smoke, there must be fire"

What was the role of HamoodurRehman Commission Report after the separation of East Pakistan?
It was said that East Pakistan would be defended from West Pakistan, was it possible? If yes, then why East Pakistan was not safeguarded by this tactic?

findings of that comission were never bothered by anyone......the facts found by that comission was ignored
recomendation of that comision wasthat General Yahya Khan, General Abdul Hamid Khan, Lt. Gen. S.G.M.M. Pirzada, Lt. Gen. Gul Hasan, Maj. Gen. Umar and Maj. Gen. Mitha should be publicly tried for being party to a criminal conspiracy to illegally usurp power from Mohammad Ayub Khan in power if necessary by the use of force. Six other Generals and three Brigadiers were recommended to be tried for wilful neglect of duty. These were Generals Amir Abdullah Khan Niazi, Abid Zahid, Mohammad Jamshed, M Rahim Khan, Irshad Ahmad Khan, B.M. Mustafa and Brigadiers G.M. Baquir Siddiqui, Mohammad Hayat & Mohammad Aslam Niazi. According to the commission General Mustafa's offensive plan aimed at the capture of the Indian position of Ramgarh in the Rajasthan area (Western Front) was militarily unsound and haphazardly planned, and its execution resulted in severe loss of vehicles and equipment in the desert.
no action was ever taken on basis of this report so we can say it was useless
like the finding of UN on benazir murder

dear wen this report was issued it has 12 copies only one copy wz given ZA bhuto p.m of that time n rest of copies were destroyed.....its almost impossible to get full report

n one more thing i dunt think this was purely a political isue there were so many elements along with politics.....west pakistani attitude towards east pakistanis played a viucan say we as a whole nation was responcible .... we made crimnal negligence.....as we r now doing in Balochistan we r creating hatred among balochi ppl same situation was in east pakistan india involvement is shap of makti bhani now in bloachistan as BLA .... rigts of ppl of east pakistan were not given like bolachistan have some issue.... n we as nation r not doing any thing to redress them nobody is rgice to say we r ur brothers dunt be annoyed repeating same mistakes again. we r not trying mushraf for bugtis murder same as we not tried genrals for grave mistake n negligence which reults fall of dhaka.
am afraid history may not repeat it self:mad: Allah Bless Pakistan....Pakistan Zinda Bad....may we stand united always ameen
