Dialogues between Pakistan and India
Prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has recently met again with Manmohan singh, the prime minister of India, after 9 months, in SAARC conference, which was held in Bhutan. They agreed to initiate composite dialogue again. These dialogues will be initiated at foreign secretary and foreign ministers level. Gilani has also invited to Manmohan Singh to visit Pakistan. In the response of this invitation Manmohan Singh warmly welcomed to Gilani.
In composite dialogues they will talk at all eight issues which are bone of contention for both countries. we have passed 62 years, in these 62 years we appeared many times in dialogues at foreign ministers level and many times at prime ministers or president level, to negotiate the issues of both countries, but all in vein. Now we are again going to resume the dialogue. Do you think that through these dialogues we will be able to solve these issues? Precious arguments will be highly appreciated. |

Though dialogue is the best way to solve every dispute, yet Pakistan and India achieved nothing through their previous so-called dialogues...Recent Gilani/Singh meeting seems like a formal meeting b/w two heads of the states...Kashmir is a core issue, both countries' masses are so emotional about it,without resolving this one,we cant even allow our Govt to start Trade Relationship with India..I dont think so,these Dialogues will solve any issue,...

Mumbai attacks, it is strong card which will be used by indian side in talks at foreign level meetings. Pakistan has to work alot on the issue of water, they have to force indian governmnet. Trade between Pakistan and india will not begin until and unless, meetings between both allies start. Pakistan has to make strong arguments on afghan issue, because through afghan border inidans have a route to enter in Pakistan and they are directly involved in terrorism specially in Baluchistan and NWFP. ================================================== ======= Quote:

Pakistan has also good position in UNO. Pakistani lobby has been trying to make good relations with higher authorities of USA. Due to which America invited Pakistan for dialogues. which were held in this month. Manmonhan singh invited our PM to resume dialogues in the meeting at Cairo( The capital of Egypt). after this, he proposed to the king of Saudi Arabia to participate in the dialogues of Pakistan and India. Now, he is inviting again for dialogues. It shows that Singh is serious to solve the issues which are hurdle between the good relations of two neighbors. |

Within one month, three meetings between Pakistan and India have held. First meeting was at foreign secretary level at Islamabad soon after it interior ministers of both countries Rehman Malik and Chidambaram met in Islamabad.
Recently foreign ministers of both countries have met in Islamabad for composite dialogue but without any result these meetings were ended. If the authorities of both countries know that there will not be any result of these meetings then why they arrange the meetings? What are the forces which compel the to meet again and again. Is India trying to show to the world that he is willing to resolve the issues with Pakistan? Why Pak Afghan transit trade treaty was signed under the supervision of Ms Clinton? which is totally for the benefits of India. Do you think India was trying to make this treaty possible by these dialogues? |
