Default Fate of Pakistan Railways

I had to travel by train few days back and it was a awsome experience that was really surprising. It is not possible for me to figure out what is happeining to Pakistan Railways.
12-18 hrs late arrival has become routine matter, that has no value at all
Engines are loosing powers, their capacity is over
Fuel shortage is also a big issue,
Seat reservation is just like an adventure
Conditions of inside coaches are pityable
No facilities for passangers at railway stations i.e water, washrooms, first aids etc

Govt.s decision to suspend trains does not make any sense. You can not reserve a seat before 20 days of your travel, mean all the seats are fully reserved. All of the trains are over crowded then how is it possible that they are experiencing deficit.

Shalimar Express was one of the most popular train that was fully crowded and best source of travelling for thousands of pasangers. Also Qarakark express is under consideration to be suspended.

I dont think this is the solution. if so then Govt. will also shut down all those schools/colleges/health centers that are not profitable.

It's true they are going to shut down more trains. Pak Railways urgently needs to be privatized and the current minister should be changed as soon as possible.

Default Privitisation of Pakistan Railway

What I have observed is that there is a lobby working behind for the privitisation of Pakistan Railway. I strongly disagree with the opinion of privitisation. Same trains when privitized become profitable. Private firms will take it on lease even then they will utilize the same resources, same engines, same tracks, same stations tthen we need to think where the fault lies. A huge number of competent officers are oppointd in railways, why they are failed to manage open curroption in the system. If you have ever travelled in the train you will clearly observe that there is curroption from bottom to up.
We we are seeking for shorcuts, why suspension of trains or privitaization is the only solution. Why not we eradicate the curroption that is the root cause of whole system.
