Pakistan's Major Political Parties: A critical Analysis.

Pakistan’s major Political Parties: A critical analysis.

Pakistan, de jure, is a Democratic state. There are many Political parties in this country which take the contract of running the State’s business (Government). Prima facie, all are democratic parties but a close review of them would reveal that either they have been undemocratic (Dynastic) or the product of Dictatorship.

The Major Parties:

1.P.P.P( Pakistan People’ party)

This political party has remained in power many a time. It is considered a symbol of democracy by many of us. But, its chairpersonship has never been given to the Non-Butto..In other words, Party is Bhutto family’s legacy. After, Zulifqar Bhutto, Its founder, Benazir Bhutto, his daughter took the charge. After her, her son, though she is still politically immature..

2.PML(N).(Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz)

This party is not the original party which gave us Pakistan. This party was created under the auspices of Gen Zia. The product of Dictatorship will produce dictatorial democracy This party is Dynastic party as well. Mian Family is the owner of this party.

3.ANP.(Awami national party)

This party, is a regional party (confined to Pakhton-majority areas) and has never taken charge of whole Pakistani Government, though, at provincial level it has remained in power many’s the time. It, too, is Dynastic and hence ownership of Khan Family. Gafar khan, wali khan, etc and now Asfandar yarwali have all remained its chairmen..Outsider can’t be its chairman, because it is not other’s ownership.

4.MQM.( Mutahida Qomi Movement)

This party is too the product of Gen Zia Dictatorship. After Zulifqar Bhutto’s death, in order to break the strenghth of Bhuttos party MQM was created through the backing of Zia. How peaceful this party is, you know all.

5.PML(Q).( Pakistan Muslim League Qaide-e-Azam)

This party was created at the behest of Gen Mugharaf. It is also product of Dictatorship. It was created with the sole aim to support Dictatorship In the garb of so-called democracy.

6. Religious parties.

Nearly all religious parties use the name of Islam. Whenever dictatorship has come in power, these parties have supported them in one way or other. For Instance, these religious parties got united under Musharaf’ rule and were called: Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal(MMA). They jointly gave approval to 17th amendment, allowing Musharaf to stay in Uniform as well as in presidency . Have these parties ever given Fatwa( Religious decree) against Suicide Bombing?? No.

All major political parties have proved detrimental in one way or other. Here, Nationalist Political parties (based at provincial as well as divisional level) have not been mentioned. Many of them either want to get separated their areas or blame the very existence of Pakistan. The only way to put Pakistan on democratic lines is to educate the masses in this land of Pure people.

I have deliberately excluded Imran Khan and his party. His reputation is without any blemish. He is a good Leader so far.....

Pakistan's all problems are due only to poor governance.........

pakistani political parties need Intra-party democracy first..Only then they should claim to be a democratic dispensation...;)

Nice Topic

Firstly i will say that Democracy in illiterate country is useless and has no worth according to Democratic rules. we are 54.1% literate ( which know to read and write only)
Secondly Our Basic Democracy usually we bureaucrat are not doing their work sincerely.
Thirdly According to me Multiple political system is the root mean of all the problems because of collision between different parties which are on their own agenda this is another good debate.

Now come to the political parties

PPP : Islamic Socialism
PML (N) Muslim League Nawaz shareef have their own agenda
ANP Pro-Soviet
MQM Work for Muhajarins (also the born of dictatorship to collapse PPP)
Jamaat Islami Religious party

pakistan therik e insaaf is the only reliable party in current scene. but, has yet to coin her name in powerhouse of the country.

ppp, pml(n) are feudal and dynastic parties.
mqm is a mafia rather than a party
religious parties and anp, bnp need no comments.

but we should admit the following factors:

--the organized most org. is mqm.
--the federal party whose voters can be found everywhere is ppp

the fate of all the parties would be decided by the following factors:

1)ability to transform the structure in accordance with new trends in
civil society
2)floods
3)pro-americanism
4)scenario after departure of america from afghanistan
5)intensity of ethnic politics
6)support of 13 million youth voters
7)Ghq
8)most importantly "ALLAH".

It is very nice to read the above analytical posts to throw the light on the current scenerio regarding political parties in Pakistan.
Tehrik-e-Insaf is being considerd as good but do they possess leaders on grass root level? Simply Not yet, and they 'll take decades to bring the leadership from base of the country. Not a single person can bring a change, he can just speak loudly and that speech is too out of approach of an ordinary man, consequently useless speech.
Are there literature based activities to educate common masses regarding Revolutionary Education? No, they don't have.

I have the knowledge of a Political Movement based on the Islamic Revolutionary philosophy, sent by Allah via Quran, presented by Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), implemented by Sahaba + Khulfa e Rashidin, extracted and interpreted according to our approches and scope by Allama Iqbal and now a days being propogated by Dr. Israr. May be some of us consider this movement as Just Religious Movement, but I suggest to them and to Imran Khan also to study that movement thoroughly and to be the part of it to put his valueable efforts for a real cause.
It is a real and actual (in the terms of philosophy) political party which is not begging for votes by attracting to the real activists by its True philosophy.

It is a solution for the topic as I believe in concluding discussions so that I have done. I know some can differ but I invite those, who want to differ, to study it first. I can't put all the details in a single post.

Jazak Allah e Kher.

i agree that pti is not efficient at grass root levels.
it is basically an urban party having no links in rural areas who possess the majority.

but still, the plus points are as following:

1]13 million new youth voters can ravage the old godfathers and can strike the change
2]bielections in lahore have shown a few new developments when pml(n) had to rig the elections to defeat pti
nehru once said ,we couldn,t stop pakistan owing to lahore.
once lahore is conquered, any movement can be a success. look at ppp , pml(n). both got exalted heights through lahori politics.
now,it seems to be favouring pti.

3]people in urban areas want change. if,this change comes than mqm and pti would be the real competitors.
4]pti is working gradually on street level politics.
5]record no of students have joined ISF .

so, the indicators force us to anticipate a golden future of pti. but, i agree that a lot has to be done. otherwise......

In the light of my sole political opinion, PPP and PML are only two parties worthwhile in this country. Rest of the parties are required to work harder for their identity as well as public image.

Imran Khan is all the talk, will judge only when he will do some work.

Bureaucracy, and other social Institutions are doing just fine. No matter how bad the state of Pakistan is, it's still among one of the well recognized and powerful nations.

Here is the simple answer and please do the mathematics; No state, no matter how developed can double it's resources to feed the doubling rate of it's population, which is case with our country shamefully.
