Should Pakistan make No-War pact with India?

Should Pakistan make no-war Pact with India?

Indo-Pakistan relations have remained strained most of the time. It is in this backdrop that the idea of no war pact arises. But this idea has both pros and cons of it.

Arguments in the favor.

1. It is always better to have good relations with the neighbors.

2. India and Pakistan both are developing countries and can not afford heavy expenses of maintenance of large armies.

3. Both the countries can utilize their resources for the betterment of their people instead of entering into arm race.

4. In Islam too it is found that such pacts were made namely Hudebiya Pact.

5. In case of no war pact the Eastern border of Pakistan will remain secure in case of any threat from North-west.

6. Even if one state invade and annex the other state, that state can not digest the population of the occupied state. For instance, the British occupied India and ruled for a century but the war of independence took place in 1758. A.D.

Arguments against this notion:

1. India has not recognized Pakistan from the core of heart.

2. Hindus can not be trusted. They can dishonor the pact in case of emergency. For instance, they even have tried to violate the Indus water treaty.

3. There can be no “NO-War pact” till the Kashmir Issue is resolved.

4. India is friend of all those counties which are enemies of Pakistan.

5. India is engaged in Afghanistan in conspiracies against Pakistan and is also fuelling insurgency in Balochistan.

6. World Powers too don’t wish to see Indo-Pakistan ties being friendly. Whenever, they get closer, Hapless incidents take place. Better to avoid such events and stay away from India.

pacts can,t bring peace especially in the case of such as irresponsible
neighbours like pak and india ,who have been at daggers drawn with each
other.

the only way to bring peace is through removing huge boulders from the passage of peace like kashmir and terrorism.

moreover, can you (spiderman) tell me how would you ensure peace in the following scenarios:

1]if indo-china war erupts, will pakistan be kept quite and impartial?

2]if the insurgencies inside kashmir or blouchistan would keep on going
like past and present.

3]if hawks on both sides couldn,t be tamed
