shouldn't the Declaration of Asset be made obligatory for bureaucrats?

Corruption is eating into the vitals of the country,which is mostly being practiced by bureaucrats and politicians.Institutions are waning and exerting a negative impact on economic horizon.Materialism and unnecessary emulation has changed the perceptions and behaviors.In these grave circumstances,it is being direly felt,that legislations should be made in order to obligate the bureaucrats to declare their assets before seeking promotions.It will help us a great deal in handicapping the illegal accumulation of wealth and defeating the prevalence of this menace.

It is oblegatory for all grade -17 and above officers to declare their assets every year but you close one door the corrupt ones open 100 more doors. They keep their assets on other people's name.

This is a very common trend in our society to have such issues. People at higher grades do not show their assets as no one is there to ask them.
There is no check & balance in our system so this is not a big issue.

Of course there must be proper check and balance system for all the assets of bureaucrates to run the system smoothly.
On the other hand If they donot do so then they must have solid proofs in order to defend the sources of their property.

Not only for bureaucrates but also the officials of armed forces. People like Musharraf who are having luxuries and comforts of one of the expensive cities like London.

First of all there should be the complete investigation of assets of the personnels of armed forces and then bureaucrates because they have eaten alot.

the present step which is under dialogue about the accountability of armed forces is a good initiative so that people of paksitan may know what is the problem with the state of Paksitan.
