How do you see the political scenario of Pakistan?
 

seemingly there will be a big shift in the political set up of pakistan. do you predict the mid term election or any other coalition govt in the country on the upcoming days?

JUI-F's honey moon is going to an end. is it amount to treason n disloyality? while ANP is still stick to the ministries in other words loyal to their worlds.


JUI F is still coalition partner in province of balochistan of PPP but it alienated from centre whts the basic reason?

will the MQM's resignation from the coalition govt will ultimately cause for down fall of PPP dynasty? or there will be another dramatic change in the politics of the country?

is there any chance of boots in the power on the upcoming days??


appointment of the governors is also challenged in the appex court cz they are no more affective after the 18th amendment.

My personal belief is that all these parties are now gradually trying to distance themselves from the ruling coalition as the election season draws closer. They want to come out clean in the eyes of the people. This is so, because our Pakistani nation has a tiny memory and they only seem to remember things from the near past. Before going to electorate, all parties want to adopt a 'principled' stance, whether it be against RGST (MQM as it serves its trader constituency), or Blasphemy laws and Drone strikes (JUI as this rhetoric serves the religious right), or yet governance (PML N, as it is eyeing for a major role in the next setup at national level), after having enjoyed all the perks of power for the last three years.
The situation has not changed drastically on ground. It has been like this since the start of 2008. Nawaz Sharif had ample chance to practice and display good governance, after all he had half of the country (Punjab 50%) under his rule, but he didn't. Now he all of sudden worries about governance.

Soon after the JUI's exit from the Federal Government, MQM follow the footsteps mounting more pressure on PPP's Government.
JUI's Resignation was the reaction to the firing of their party member from the Federal Ministership, vividly showing their prime interest is remianing in power only.... after the firing of their Minister, they were left with no good reason for further support of Federal Government
As far MQM is concerned, finally they quit from government after the repeated threats. Reason as they explain is that Government is not adressing the issues of National and Public Interest.......A very vague and lame excuse to put forward. These Problems of Mis governance , Corruption and Mis anagment were there from the very start and It take them the long whole three years in realizing????????????
Despite their claim of Custodians of Democracy, matter of fact remians the same that their simple majority is not in a position to complete its tenure without the support of another political party in House. For the purpose PPP is already trying its level best to contact the opponent political parties and fix a deal with anyone in the house( no matter whoever it may be) based on give and take transaction of Federal Ministries against the Political support to Government.
Let us see, how they are going to achieve out of their negotiations and Reconcilation policy.......

Poverty is primarily a political issue, caused and maintained by factors of a macro nature and by institutions which function in a specific, political, environment. At a macro economic, national level the choice of economic strategy based on class alliances and political expediency (as well as international factors) may have a severe bearing on the way people live. Poor economic performance filters down to increasing poverty for a large and growing number of people.

The lust and corruption characterizing the successive rulers of this country, has played maximum havoc, with each trying to outdo the other in squeezing the blood out of this country. Our leaders talk of poverty and improving living conditions of the poor but they have never tasted the bitter taste of poverty. They don't know how a poor man earns his bread. How he tolls and struggles from dawn to dusk just to feed his children. Could any of our leaders dare to spend a day or so with a poor and see closely what troubles he goes through? Will they leave their luxurious villas, airconditioned cars, comfortable offices and come down to spend a few days with the workers? It is very easy to talk about poverty in the election campaigns, but very difficult to feel it and genuinely find ways to help the poor.

Pakistan is not preparing for the technological challenges of the 21st century. It spends only $3 per capita on real human priority concerns, compared with $133 in the republic of Korea, $123 in Malaysia and $9 in India. The neglect of Pakistan's human resources arises from a feudal society that places low value on the lives of the ordinary people except at election times. Pakistan is spending 125% more on its military compared to education and health of its people. According to Human Development Report, just one year's purchases of arms by Pakistan is enough to provide safe drinking water to about half the country's population or extend basic education to all children currently out of school.

* Government policy has been incompatible with the economics and sociology of the poor. The low income housing policy has been unaffordable for the poor and in most cases, low income houses have been bought by the members of the middle class.
* Government has paid more importance to buildings than to basic education, to expensive hospitals than to primary health care and to piped water in high income urban neighbourhoods than to cost-effective community water taps.
* The poor in Pakistan whether in rural areas or in the cities, have no representation in farming policies. Most of the technocrats who give a physical shape to the political thinking have also been from the middle classes and have not only a poor understanding of the poor, but look upon them with suspicion and hostility.
* The unplanned areas in the cities of Pakistan consist of Katchi Abadis and squatter settlements, have almost all been developed by informal sector entrepreneurs through the illegal subdivision and sale of state land. Most poorer households have been unable to acquire land for a house, credit or technical advice from government agencies. Therefore, they have generally turned to the informal, semi-legal or illegal land market to acquire a plot on which to build.
* Since the early 1990's, the IMF and World Bank structural adjustment programmes have had a major impact on the country's economy. Because of their austerity drives, privatization, cut back in subsidy, reduction in development expenditure, and a cut in the fiscal deficit have all helped to maintain, if not create, poverty. Clearly, these policies do not play a poverty alleviation role.
* Some of the attempts made by the government towards alleviating poverty have been well meaning, but have been at a micro level with a narrow focus. They have often ignored the causes for the existence of poverty in the first place.
* To setup a small cottage industry, a poor man has to seek permission, licenses and utilities' connections from countless government departments. Once he gets going, another dozen departments start collecting their monthly share.
The government policy does not focus much on making wages compatible with cost of minimum standard of living.

JUI (F) government is a selfish, less dedicated and opportunist government which had taken the benefit from all time governments and remained their coalition partners but, now when the government is in the crisis they declared to withdraw their support for the federal government because at the present stage the government is on the verge to defame itself by increasing inflation rate, increase in oil prices, electricity etc, in this perspective of politics the JUI (F) left the government to save their national image.That's all about JUI (F).

MQM,

It is a hypocrite government ruled by the leaders who raise their vioce for the rights for the non-muslim groups such as Qadianis from which our religion refrain us even to talk with them.MQM is a terrorist organization.It's leader Altaf Hussain induces a spirit of revolution in his party workers and himself cannot come to Pakistan for which he claims revolution.The only reason for their quiting of the government was due to the raise in the oil prices at the time when they extracted maximum of their benefits in the 3 years of goverment being a coalition partner of the government.


The ball is in the court of Nawaz sharif because if he did not demands PM to take vote of confidence the PM will remain as the Minority Prime minister and cannot take any legislative step in the future or even cannot pass a bill with simple majority, so finally he will be himself compelled morally to step down from his portfolio.

The MQM quit government on the raise of petrolum prices. Now the prices have been reduced to the previous level, will they return back now ? :laughing

PML(N) is the only party which shows Political Maturity...... Solutions of all the Problems are not in the removal or replacement of Government.... but it lies in the smooth functioning of the Democracy... so Nawaz realizes keh Solution is the completion of PPP govt.'s tenure... actually there is one big problem with Nawaz's Politics .... He is playing the neat and clean politics (for setting the trend) in the country of illetrate people.... People just want to kick out the Govt.....

I dnt think so that MQM will return to the government again because MQM senior leader Babar Khan ghouri in captial talk said that MQM despite of petroleum prices have also other many reservations for quiting the government so i dnt think so that they will return becasue they mentioned others reservations as well.

MQM has decided to rejoin the PPP Government. This is a great news for it will bring some political stability to this poor nation.
