Politicizing Police by Imran Khan

I am completely disillusioned and disappointed with Police Reforms Formula of Imran Khan. Electing SHOs from masses (read political parties) directly, without any training and selection criteria, will further politicize and De-moralize the police force; leading to further corroding of public faith in the department. It is better to give them autonomy like judiciary, along with the establishment of an active accountability mechanism together with the revival of magistracy system for oversight. Also the pays and perks of police officers should be increased like judiciary.
On the other hand, eliminating the institution of Patwaris will not do any good as Patwaris perform many other duties along with the record keeping. Secondly, removing Patwaris alone and computerizing the Revenue System can't erase corruption as it would still be susceptible to political manipulation. Thirdly, Imran gave no formula of reforming the corruption in lower courts and ousting those selected on political considerations by the sitting government of PPP.
What do you all think ???

I will call it a musical show side by side.it is not important to have a tremendous public. The work is that u have to do something for the sake of the country.i will say it repulsive attitude towards other political parties
"mian sb jan dio sadi wari an dyo"
what rubbish is this?
is this country's sovereignty a game show?which everyone wants to take part in it.
iin one aspect i do agree with him that patwari system in the country should be reoriented.many poors,in our country, are living without houses and the riches have many more which are posses to the government's authority.if the patwaris have kept the record then nothing will happen wrong.and every day in our life we see many confrontation on the basis of qbza group influence.a well and fair record should be kept

few things are noteworthy in this regard, according to imran khan his aim is to bring a change of status quo in the country. this is undeoubtedly a welcome step and ofcourse a long cherished dream of those who believe in equality and emancipation of poor masses. now the point comes, how to make people understand the significance of this change.from here onwards starts the responsibility of those who know the fruits of a healthy change of status quo. to tell people that they themselves are the alpha and omega of this political system. this whole scheme is basically designed for their ultimate bettermen, they are not the satellites but thw centre of gravity. to me, anyone who intends to spread this message and endeavours to strengthen the role and rule of masses in the state, deserves to be hailed and applauded. imran, i think, is doing this job at least. he may have certain lapses of agenda in few administrative domains like police and revenue as pointed out by respected members. but, again the catchphrase of his movement i.e; change of status quo is unrivaled. playing of anthems and stage performances by bands are new experiments to attract people. times have changed now and so have changed the ways of alluring people in political gatherings. pti lahore jalsa is a case in point.

Before weathering the storm of satire against Imran Khan.
a mature mind has got to revisit the bleak episodes of inherent politics in the country.
Pakistanis have a long history of political turmoil.
Civilian governments so far injured our national image with corruption , favoritism and feudalism which triggered malpractices in our institutions.
Military rule on the second side of spectrum suffocated the democratic means of living to a terrible condition.
We have few individuals privileged to ascend the government offices every time since the day Pakistan came in existence.
Scope of political parties and power revolves around dynastic mass.
Army and judiciary too are out of the duty charters.
you find innumerable instances of national instability and insecurity once you behold the status quo.
Despite a free functional media our population is held a hostage to political incompetence.
What is the reason and what are the measures to flip the contemporary affairs of the state ?
when this question hammers the head we come to hear about revolution in the country......
Revolution does not have a single implication as is mostly thought of. like fixing a direct fight against authorities and general public...
a moderate and learned public does not see revolution through this sanguinary spectacles.
Change of the lines by which we think and throwing oneself in the struggle for a peacefully systematic modification of the existing government system and its loopholes is the mature scene of revolution.
You can revolutionize the traditional shortcomings in establishment by giving your institutions a meaningful reorientation.
Mr. Khan comes up with a sound mandate and his voice echoes honesty as well as sincere devotion to the political responsibilities of a Leader.
His ideas radiate vibes of long awaited change in the system.
His political career so for drives our attention to the fact that his is the strong stance against injustice , corruption , institutional inadequacy and distorted policymaking.
Apart from Him we have other parties which are experimented by our trust countless times.
This time let a person who sounds a changed leader with a sound approach towards successful nation making process, be receiver of our vote....

We have no other choice left. coming into elections is a forbidden fruit for a common man in our country its procedure and traditional criteria is so complex to easily approach.... Under certain circumstances Mr. Khan ensures the empowerment of general public in country politics.... Its something worth praising....

We at least young students and enthusiastic well wishers of the state must caste a vote in his favor this time...
regards

The same SHOs have performed in the NH&MP, ITP, and ICT Police, just because they had better salaries and were given more facilities to perform their official duties.
If he is given 8 Liters diesel per day for Patrolling and ask to run a route which consumes 25 liters instead, from where is he going to fill the gap of 17 liters? So, the trouble is not with SHO per se, but the system in which he operates.

exactly...
there is a need of change in system and not in faces. If system is improved and a strong accountability to check this system then these SHO's will perform.
Example of motorway police is in front of us. there are facilities for this institution and in return there is a sense of duty and no corruption.

@Hamza Salic
Dear
What mature , well groomed and advanced mechanism of government you have so far with Zardari PPP, Nwaz PML , MQM, PMLQ and other coalition partners ?

are you calling a person practical , experienced and wise who is casting a vote in favor of these already experimented individuals ?

We all know Imran Khan since he first uplifted the name of Pakistan in the world Cricket.
He then stole the show in social works for national welfare. Look at His shaukat Khanum and his various campaigns in the times of last flood emergencies.

Cricket team or ek chota sa hospital chalaney,or mulk chalaaney me bht farak he..If the current politicians are doing no good , it doesnt mean that system isn't in place..the current policing and patwari system is a tested system, and cannot be replaced in any case..He is going to repeat the same mistake that was committed in Musharraf regime,i.e mixing administration with politics..I haven't said don't vote for him,I might myself vote for him,but I am shocked about such an immature and impractical policy statement..I think he has been ill-advised about this by his advisers,as he himself isn't that smart to know the dynamics of the system.

Taimoor Gondal Thursday, November 03, 2011 04:10 PM

if by running a hospital or like this things in better manner he can run Govt. in better way then Abdul Sattar Edhi should be the Head of state for Pakistan.
running shaukat khanum is another thing and running a Govt. and country is some other. And if we think that as he is not corrupt, so he will make policies in best way then may be it is not true. To be honest is another thing and policy making is some other.
he need a good team and honest and intelligent advisors for this purpose.
