Nice article and very true as well, unfortunately we are living in such an environment, where there are confusions on different matters.Primarily and idealistically, Islam should be the first priority while making individual and collective decisions, but we know well that it is not the case most of the time.Foreign policy should be made in a balanced way, India is our immediate neighbor and relationships between the two countries should not be hostile from strategic point of view, but it doesn't mean that we compromise on our national interests. Many people gives reference that Prophet(SAW) signed agreements with Jews, BUT they don't mention that he fought wars with non-believers as well for the preservation of Islam. So such initiatives are good to be taken but keeping in view other factors as well, Indian attitude is not hidden from anyone, such kind of policies should be made tactfully and keeping in view the consent and sentiments of people.

[B]We should denounce such a hawkish approach of author. Its time for 'CBMS' not wielding swords against neighbors. Seeds of hate shouldn't be allowed to take its roots again.

I am sorry I couldn't muster the courage to read out the complete article ... but the first half of this article reminds me of the molvies who opposed the idea of the earth being round or who refuted that man can go to moon or who declared the tv to be against islamic law etc etc .. Interestingly all these molvies had a number of ahadis to support their arguments... Even today those who go for suicide attacks in pakistan support their view from various ahadis and on the other hand various notable scholars have opposed and have issued fatwas ( based on Quran and ahadis ) against such attacks ...

Such ulema , molvies or self proclaimed scholars have cause severe damage to the ideology of islam. Because of such fanatics , we the muslims, are considered to be the terrorists and threat to the global peace.

we all know that Islam is a religion of peace and islam allows Jehad only on certain inevitable conditions ... Islam doesn't allow Jehad on a particular cast , religion or geographic area.

Moreover mister orya has tried to twist the history of india to support his argument. people like zaid hamid and orya maqbool have an old habit of twisting the facts. One can only pray that may Allah show them the right path so that they can't give their self crafted message of HATE and call it the message of Islam ...

I think the author is not asking us to wield the swords. He has made a reference to some [I]Ahadees[/I] which none of us can deny. In fact, as indicated by mano_g, we should prepare our country for worst case scenario.

No doubt CBMs are necessary, but you simply cannot trust anyone blindly, especially an enemy who still holds that "India is One and Indivisible". We know the history of tensions between the countries.

Why do they only talk about trade and commerce? Why do they not talk about water disputes, Kashmir, Siachin, border issues, Junagarh, Manawadar, India intervention in Balochistan, Sindh and KPK?

So the thing is that we should not stay unaware of the ultimate goals and designs of enemies of Islam. At the same time, wherever possible, we should uphold peace but on the terms that do not prejudice our sovereignty, dignity and national interest.

Also remember what the holy Qur'an says:
[B][4:71]. Ya Ayohal-Lazeena Aamanoo (O you who believe)! take your precaution, then go forth in detachments or go forth in a body.[/B]

So we have to take precaution, so that if an adverse situation does arise, we don't have to face humiliation.

One thing more, in my opinion, every youngster of Pakistan must read Shahb Nama, a book written by Mr Qudrat Ullah Shahab who was himself a bureaucrat in Pakistan's Civil Service. He has given several strong arguments regarding relations with the neighbous,and with India especially. These arguments seem much stronger in the prevailing time although he wrote the book in mid 1980s.

I guess Oriya Maqbool is not a "moulvi", per se. He is a former bureaucrat. His approach is quite different with those you call moulvi.

Unfortunately, it is our dilemma that in the name of liberalism, development, progress, modernization, we have forgot our roots, our values, our culture.Those who raise voice against such matters we regard them as ''molvi''. as far as CBMs are concerned, no one, in this era of cooperation and mutual relations can deny their importance.It is essential for our survival in the region, but everything should be followed according to the principles, norms and dignity, ''aman ki asha'' should not be at the expense of national interests and sovereignty.Particular media group is supporting it with all the energies, although there are much more important issues to highlight at the moment.

All those who preach the idea of hatred and bloodshed are are religious fanatics ...
And being bureaucrat doesn't mean that a person can't be fanatic. I personally know mr. orya and have unfortunately listent his fanatic ideas at my university . it is all Hate , Hate towards everyone who doe

Being a student of islamic law , I dont think there is a single clause in islam that tells us to hate ...

I think the war b/w Molives and Liberals should be ended in pakistan.both of them support their views with Ahadis and Quranic verses and both of them seem to be on right path.
But i think they are on Extreme Paths .Pakistan should remember its Culture,values and Islamic way of life but Islam never allows to attack anyone without solid reason or revenge.India should be our friend like china.As Quiad said'' I wish that PAK INDIA relations should be like USA and Canada'' and we all know that there is no passport system in both countries for entry and i wish same for INDO PAK.
We are atomic power as they are and India can not afford war because of her thriving economy it will be totally against her economic boom .

No Muslim can deviate from saying of holy profit but the author has not given the proper reference of Ahadis. What i know , Islam is religion of peace and love that profess love for humanity at large. This was the philosophy of Sufis and saints who attracted the people from all religions in to the fold of Islam. But preachers of hatred have distorted the injunctions of Islam and tainted the minds of people. Its consequence is what we are seeing today.

Holy profits life is epitome of love for humanity.he was the one who didn't uttered a world against the people of TAIF who beaten him mercilessly.He went to see the woman who used to through garbage upon him.

Why dont we think to win hearts through our conduct? Why Aurya Maqbool Jaan doesnt preach set example through our conduct, by showing love for humainitty. This will attract followers of other religions to follow Islam.

Why Mr Jaan forgotton say of holy profit that dont abuse fake Gods ogf others so that in return they dont abuse yours.

Is our society not engaged in shameful practices? Whats Wanni, Marrige with Quran etc? And those who kill the innocent people , does so on the name of religion? If you us such killers , they will have sound justification again on name of Islam for their murderous act?


There are two options before us. Fan hattered as the people such as Mr Jan do. Commit your self to wage wars and conquer other.The other option is to put our own house in order. Make the poeple believe that Islam is best religion that profess peaceful co existence with other religions. Muslim Societies are epitome of values of humanity , compassion and love. Then tell what will serve the Islam better?
