Role of MCQs in fetching Marks

Dear all,
i was just thiking amid the ongoing discussion about low and high scoring subjects...I've contemplated that the MCQs play a pivotal role to fetch marks in all subjects... if one is able to secure atleast 50 marks out of 80 in subjective portion and secures as much as 15 marks in MCQs then can easily go beyond 60 in any subject...so what do you think about the subjects that are considered high scoring like sociology, psychology, journalism etc, do people get approx 18 MCQs correct or they score beyond 60 in subjective...???the role of MCQs cannot be neglected here...what's your take on it?

If you pay too much attention to MCQz, you will not be able to fetch 50 in subjective portion because you will not be able to prepare good enough for that (same happened to me :(, I had atleast 15 correct MCQz in each paper but score was still low). So it would be better to leave the matter of MCQz to luck and prepare thoroughly for subjective portion
