Elected officials threw chairs and shoes at one another in a contentious session of Pakistan's Punjab Assembly Wednesday,.
After Member of the Punjab Assembly Seemal Kamran threw a shoe at MPA Sheikh Allauddin for making vulgar comments regarding the opposition party's female MPAs, she was barred from the assembly.
Allauddin at one point referred to female members as "circus dancers." He is known for having engaged in contentious verbal arguments with female MPAs over the last four years.
Tuesday's session was similarly without decorum, with other MPAs hurling insults at one another that were later expunged from assembly records. They pushed, shoved and tossed chairs at each other.
Wednesday's session was adjourned for 15 minutes after women MPAs became involved fighting. When session resumed, members of the opposition party chanted anti-government slogans, eventually staging a walkout. The picture of Assembly reveals that how and what could we react at our own end. Ministers are looting our country and they are shifting their money to the foreign banks to eschew from NAB and Law. How dramatically, our assembly is still based on under graduates. Let them do, whatever they do in the assembly and elsewhere. Rather we are destined in the hands of these so-called EDUCATED people. We need a change and change does not come in such a style. Unless change does not occur we will becoming scapegoat at the hands of ministers,.. language which shikh used in P. assembly it was like a man who came from the forests of S.A, who have not knowledge about the ethics, values and norms. he should be eliminated from his seat. one who have not respect of a woman he is not a Muslim, he deserve punishment.that was the height of shamelessness
