Political candidates standing for elections roam around on streets and distribute their posters etc and try to convince people about their campaign throughout western europe, it is not uncommon
Who has told you that in Pakistan politicians are not doing the same things consider my locality MNAs do hovor , ironically during election seasons trips are even more frequent and even without body guards

But in civilised and developed countries, politicians are answerable and accountable even after elections, they can be easily reached by meeting them in their office, email or phone etc. They dont have an army of bodyguards and guns pointing at people from pickups. Election campaigns are done on the basis of policies and performance not biradris and lies or money etc.

Dutch means Netherlands, people of Denmark are called Danish. Social Democracy is a very good thing if you have experienced it, it gives you a welfare state which works for the benefit of its citizens instead of VIPs.

Please check this link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Types_of_democracy

Generally nowadays, there is representative form of democracy in the world. Most commonwealth countries like UK, Canada, Pakistan, India etc follow British form of Parliamentary democracy (Westminster System), places like Norway, Finland, Turkey, Sweden and Germany follow a similar system and it is considered as the most advanced and successful systems of government known to humans. US follows a presidential form of democracy which is not a very refined system and not followed by highly successful states.

But, democracy is not just a type of system and the name of elections, it is a culture and way of life which is progressive and empowering.

Our PM will be blown to bits in minutes and he's a bit fat, uhm, I mean healthy. God! It's hard being politically correct!
P.S: Zia used to do that, so maybe dictatorship is better..
Just kidding, don't hate me please!

You guys have an excellent discussion going on. Keep up the good work!

The kind of damage Zia has done to Pakistan, it is unmeasurable, Bhutto is also blameworthy but Zia is on a different level.

What, No, NO sarcasm intended. I meant it genuinely, from the depths of my heart.
But, I believe that if democracy fails the solution is more democracy and if that fails then the solution is even more democracy.
I agree with @KingFalcon
