I think PML-N did what it could do, problems like primacy of politics or primacy of economy are being faced by all the governments. Taxing is required to supplement growth (viz. increased government spending) and control further devaluation and inflation of money (viz. lesser printing of notes and accumulation of real money , I don't know any economics but that is how the system works I guess ), however since no body wants to be taxed, the governments are faced by a predicament. Taxing working classes creates political problems (as you can see) and taxing the rich creates economic problems (viz flight of capital etc) and the governments don't have the guts to do anything. The root of all these problems is decreased levels of faith and will to sacrifice for good of all while increased greed for lust and power. Today there is huge gap between incomes and living standards of working and upper classes all over; rich governments are somehow able to compensate the lower income groups (by giving welfare etc), however for poor governments like ours giving away laptops and income support programs are even more problematic (because the working class is already pushed to the verge of collapse and they are not ready to give away anything to anyone).

Sooner or later we will be having a Hitler raising slogans of National Socialism and people will start listening to that, because that would be the only system that can take from rich and work here . What do you think .

I have always said that N league is a group of industrialists and agriculturists who are only interested in their own revenue. They are transferring the burden of the nation on the salaried corporate class while they themselves dont file returns. Sad case really. Very poor budget presented

I was reading today in newspaper that many MNC's are still not happy with the budget - Federal Government has planned to increase revenue tax from 0.5 to 1% which will definitely have a significant effect and might even offset easily the reduction in corporate tax. Plus, the B2C implications of GST will reduce the buying power - might have a negative effect to their revenue figures. Plus, SBP is planning to cut down the KIBOR rates which will further cut down banks' profits which they have been bragging about - By cutting down KIBOR and printing further money to pay circular debt will pop in money to the economy which might result in increased inflation and there are speculations that rupee against dollar might fall so at this moment the scenario is not as planned things might get nasty soon.

Default 2013 budget

The present budget has three negative points. First, the general sales tax has been increased from 16 to 17 percent. it is stated that the increase of tax will bring in Rs.60 billion. But this measure will affect the the working class and the poor. Instead of increasing it, the government should have introduced the new tax like capital gain tax on the real estate and the stock exchange.
second, the importing of tax free the hybrid cars is absolutely illogical and irrational at this moment. Mr. Dar's assertion is that if we import these cars, these will save 800 dollars annually as the cars are fuel efficient and environment friendly. however, the price of the cars is mind- boggling: 2 million rupees for the car which is the cheapest of all, whereas others are more than 3 million. now this what we call an elite class measure.
finally, no increase of salary for the government employees.
otherwise, i think it is a good budget for the hemorrhaging economy, if not a popular budget.............

Default budget is better

budget is much better than previous years budgets.. as it gives relaxation to middle class and subcides from many necessary daily use products has been lifted.. ab tamatar mehnge hogye to it doesnt mean k hum doob gye. atleast humey musharaf shahb ki trah ye to nahi kaha gya k atta mehnga hogya hai to ap log cake kha k guzara kren...
however policy for foreign debt is quite surprising because, government is taking loan to end the previous loans, what a fish!!! last tenure policy was really good as it was based on self reliance and self dependency...
