Election Boycott

What could be the effects of Presidential Election boycott by PPP?

paras Sulehri Tuesday, July 30, 2013 08:48 PM

probably zero effect. everyone was very much aware of the fact that mamnoon hussain will going to be the next presedent and he became today with a high score :vic :dd so for PPP either they cast vote or do bycott, who cares infact.

Nothing except that the move has undermined credibility of the elections.

but what was the reason behind Boycott of ppp?

Mutu Tuesday, July 30, 2013 10:59 PM

The decision of PPP to boycott the elections has two important effects.

1)It has highlighted the controversial decision of Supreme Court regarding the election date.

2)It has sent a strong message to SC against its institutional bias to PPP.

in future PPP can claim that president is unconstitutional. this is serious

Kuch bhe nahi ho ga, bs PPP ne shiksat se bachny k liay yeh drama kia. Aik bat aor bhe hai keh PPP is not in good term with Supreme Court, so os ne Supreme Court k against kahin nah kahin tu apna anger show krna hai. Agr PTI aor dosri parties bhe boycott krtin then it was serious problem.

no nothing will be serious at all. there is no point to deny this election. PPP is beahving so stupid. if the elections will be conducted at 6 of august, probably half of the parliments will skip it because of etkaf and umrah and it was just election nor the ought cermony.

In my point of view, there is always a motive behind every move in politics. Politics is not that straight.

What would PPP get by claiming this decision unconstitutional/implausible. New President has been elected, decision has been taken now. What possibly could they do by this in the future?

Nothing will happen because its a Pakistani political system here everything is possible example of PML-N and MQM. All are the old people old talks one goes the other comes that is the total story.
