I can not say in terms of Percentage but majority of Pakistani do support terrorism, have soft corner for terrorists, do not condemn it.
And this is deeply rooted in our nerves which can not be eliminated easily just through operations. If operations guaranty elimination of terrorism then recently we would not have witnessed the killing of Christian couple.

the reason is its how they are socialised. all institutions of socialization the family, the education, the religious fanatics teaches intolerance and extreme attitudes. so this outcome was most likely .

Though i dont beleive in these global indices, yet this one is quite expected, considering how things were planned, planted and propagated here with both internal and external factors playing hand in gloves with each other. Root cause of this dilemma is our nostalgic, and hypocritic education system, i am talking about both traditional and so called modern institutes. Second on list is our law enforcement and intelligence agencies who are good at everything except their duty. Still, what else can be expected from a country whose democracy is a love affair of its military.
Blanket accountability is all that is needed in all spheres. Bureaucrats are party to politician, politics is under the nose of establishment, establishment is busy in sustaining its endangered raison d'etre that is insecure borders, Who have time for policy making here. NACTA was formed but proved spiritless. consequently,a common man is bearing the brunt of both traditional and institutionalized terrorism.

the root cause of all these problems is lack of sincere leadership. nothing is being done for the welfare of the citizens, all policies are directed to benefit vested interests and mafias.

This is a serious debate to have and that's all what we always do. 'THE GREAT MINDS' are playing their games and we are getting abandoned and amused at the same time. This is an alarming situation and shouldn't let us sleep with comfort as someday this will result in quite a bitter truth that we will have to face. On the whole, what positivity do we have in Pakistan? Nothing is in favor of this nation since its birth.

what we need is a comprehensive strategy to tackle the menace of terrorism. counter-terrorism strategies won't work unless the root causes of terrorism i-e injustice, economic disparity, unemployment etc are not addressed.

Default Khwarij and Their Derived forms;an other version of Islam

This is really really bad news.
This is an privilege we have got, after getting the status of having name in only three polio hit countries.
If circumstances will remain the same then we have high chances of even replacing Afghanistan in GTI.

This is eye opener for all of us. This is not just about the no. but more than that. In terrorism we not only lose the precious lives but generations suffer. How children who lose their father forced to discontinue their education and work at tender age. How they suffer psychologically, financially throughout their lives is beyond our understanding. And most of the children get involved in illegal things and may become prey of terrorists. Tomorrow it can be our turn. No one is safe today. And this is result of our bad policies in past.
At international level we are isolated. No one is willing to invest in Pakistan, no one is coming to play in Pakistan. All over the world Pakistan is recognized as a intolerant country, as an exporter of terrorism.

But why we are failing to control terrorism even though we are spending huge amount on terrorism???
Holy Prophet PBUH pointed out this Khwarij fitna long ago.
They were a cause of conflict among Muslims since the times of Hazrat Uthman R.A.
They have deteriorated Islam a lot. Some very modern sects of Islam have influence of their teachings. I cannot write the names of the fiqhs because many of us are the part of them and they are very prominent and some have also played a pivotal role in the formation of Pakistan as well.

You can detect these people easily.

1. They are "Muqallids"...They will never support "Ijtihad"
2. They stick to Holy Qurans word to word version. And just 1 or two Sahih Ahadees books.
3. Shaven heads
4. Prominent eyes (different then normal)
5. Long Thick Beards
6. The origin of their "Mashaikh" will be from Iraq, Najd and these areas.
7. They don't believe in the "Sharia-e-Batna"...They only believe in "Zahiri Shariat".
8. They think all other sects as "Non-Muslims". Here one thing is to point out that now a days they are doing this thing covertly. They start pointing out others as "Takfiris" when some normal sects refute any thing.
They have turned open to covert.
9. You will see them always reciting Quran. Always giving much significant importance to Quran. But according to Hadith, the Quran gets stuck in their throat.

10. You will see them "too much pious". Always praying...But as the love of Holy Prophet PBUH is non-existent in them. They get nothing from their prayers
11. They say love to Holy Prophet PBUH is not required

12. They say going to Madina for Hajj in Islam is "Bidah".
13. You will see them refuting the true saints like our Suffi Buzurgs due to which millions of us are Muslims as "Wrong Version"...

This war of Zarb-e-Azb is not the War with terrorists. This is the war among two prominent sects of Islam. It is no different then Shia Sunni war.

You can't demolish these people because they are a house-hold product now. There "Madrissas" are present in the whole world. And in every city of Pakistan.

They have influenced Sunni Islam much and today a big sect of Sunni Islam is victim of them in Pakistan as well. If you see the books of these Great Sects and Great Ulemas, you will find statements like "If someone gets a thought of Holy Prophet PBUH in Salah, the Salah will get "Baatil"...

These are true terrorist. This I.S, Talibans, Laskars etc etc all are their facets.
We will have to recognize these things. We have to recognize such people.

Islam....Being a Muslim..No matter how much liberal you get...You can't forget that you are a Muslim...One day you will have to make decisions according to your religion. You cannot evade this fact of life.
http://theonlyquran.com/hadith/Sahih...e=5&chapter=44

So, figure out at first place. Are you practising a "True version" of Islam?

Research is needed in this case. Despite of saying "Whole Islam" as refutable (which I've started to see even mainstream Muslims are thinking now)

Hazrat Ali bin Usman Julabi (Ali Hajvery) in his book "Kashful Mahjoob" writes

"People have started Blind Taqleed and left the path of research, have bought veil of their hearts, the reason "truth" have hidden itself from them.
Common man is happy in his ignorance, that he has known everything in the religion perfectly, and the exalted ones are satisfied that as we have desire for truth, so it's enough of everything"

No matter the main stream Muslims are also not "Angels" in themselves but at least the harm which these very people are bringing to Islam (and had brought in past), it is not parallel to anything else.

Unless you speak specifically, openly about who those people are who support terrorism, this problem cannot be handled effectively, never. I know about that particular sect which, at a later stage in itself, leads to terrorism. That sect should be banned in Pakistan. I am not mentioning what that particular sect is fearing I may be banned here as well, because we are awesome people, we choose to not know about the root-cause of terrorism, but can always frenzily curse ourselves for this evil, esp. in the media. Whenever an effort is made to name that sect and highlight its evil, an uproar is caused: "stop dividing us", "stop propagating sectarianism", followed by a brouhaha: "remove this guy from the post/forum at once", bravo! The consequence of this is terrorism spreads by leaps and bounds, because terrorists are encouraged. We should be aware of why we are martyred by those Taliban fanatics, because we are "mushriks" to them, now this is not sectarianism what has eroded their hearts, what is beneath their chests, simply not, this is, maybe, a true love for us. Organizations like Jamat-e-Islam that have a soft spot for this very terrorism should be, permanently, banned in Pakistan as has Bangladeshi government done; however, contrary to logic, the organization is being accorded an opportunity to stage mass public meetings.

Adding fuel to the fire, the International Jewish Press/Media across the globe, and Western-wannabe, Western-slavish media esp. in Pakistan, brands terrorists of that particular sect as "shiddat-pasand", "Islamists", "Jihadis"; knowing fully well that Islam is a religion of peace, that Combative Jihad has pre-conditions that one must have had regard to, the major one is that no group within a state can declare Jihad on its own except in the severest circumstances when Salah is pronounced forbidden in the state, in all otherwise cases, it is the duty of Hakim-ul-Waqt to declare Jihad--very importantly in a country that is itself a Islamic state like Pakistan; that a "shiddat-pasand" in Islam is not what connotations the term has acquired, again thanks to our friends in the media, but a true Islamic shiddat-pasand is supposed to be a Sufi, a Wali'Ullah, a highly spiritual, mystic friend of Allah, clearly not some radical beheading every next guy in the Northern-areas mountains, serving Western interests by fighting a NATO/Saudi backed proxy-wars against the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

My friend it is true that Pakistan is surrounded by terrorism from all sides but the public of Pakistan do not support terrorism. The impression that Pakistani Muslims are terrorist is dangling from your statement. As you said that the majority of Pakistanis do support terrorism. And you gave the example of an incident of the christian couple being killed. Which is in fact condemnable.
But my friend, Pakistani Muslims have suffered more in terrorism than any other religious group of Pakistan has. Pakistan is still far better than the other countries of the world in the promotion of Human Rights of minority. The Government gave a large area of land and a large amount of money in compensation to the family of the christian couple with free education. But no family of the Pakistani Muslims being killed in bomb blasts get any compensation from the government.
If the public say that the government should resolve the issue with peaceful dialogue with taliban then you criticize the public, if the public say that the government should do military operation then you say that military operation is not a proper solution to the problem of terrorism. Then what should the public do?
Terrorism is not an internal problem of Pakistan but it is an external problem of Pakistan. It is an international conspiracy of non muslim world to suffer the muslim world in a marsh situation of terrorism.
America is generally considered to be the biggest supporter of Human Rights and if it is so then why America is supporting Israel to make vicious and violent attacks on the persecuted Palestinians and why America is silent on the human rights violation of Kashmiris by India. When India violated the LoC many times and Pakistan appealed to American and British administration then they said that this is the internal problem of Pakistan and Indiaand they are helpless on this matter. But when Pakistan's military successfully pushed Indian army out of most part of siachin and Indian army suffered great casualties then America interfered and pressurized Pakistan to vacate the area and take their previous position in siachin. The thing is that muslim is a combined enemy of all non muslims.
