Default The Ancient History Of Mohenjo Daro

Mohenjo Daro is known to be Mound Of Dead. It is situated near Larkana,Sindh, Pakistan. It is half an hour drive away from Larkana city to Mohenjo Daro.

The ancient history of Mohenjo Daro refers as an archaeological site in the province of Sindh, Pakistan. Built around 2500 BCE(Before Common Era), it was one of the largest settlements of the ancient Indus Valley Civilisation. Moehenjo Daro was one of the most developed and advanced city in South Asia.

The oldest civilizations in the world follow as

Mesopotamia. Mesopotamia was the first civilization to emerge in human history. around 4000 BCE-or 6000 years ago
Ancient Egypt. Ancient Egypt civilization took place between 3100 BC and 2686 BC
Aztecs. 1300 to 1521
Indus Valley Civilzation. around 2500 BCE
Jiahu 7000 to 6600 BC. Roman Civilization. 753 BC. Norte Chico. around 3,000 BCE Mayan. 1800 BC.

Indus Valley Civilization was one of the most famous civilisations in the world. Mohenjo Daro, one of the world’s first cities and contemporaneous with ancient Egyptian and Mesopotamian civilizations, has been sometimes referred to as “An Ancient Indus Valley Metropolis”.

There has been two stories about how the city(Mohenjo Daro) was destroyed.

The first story describes as the Emperor of the Mohenjo Daro was cursed causing the city to get flooded and overturned and all the people of Mohenjo Daro were killed, as the river Indus lied within the city.

Second story describes as the Indus civillization was likely destroyed by the Indo-European migrants from Iran, the Aryans. There were two groups Mongolees and Aryans. The war was fought between them.

They say the mythology of Hindu, their god helped Aryans defeat the Mongolees of Mohenjo Daro. The clues from bricks found in Mohenjo Daro city unearthed that there was a kind of nuclear attack in ancient time during a fight between Aryans and Mongolees killing all the people of the Mohenjo Daro.

After the catastrophe of The Mohenjo Daro, the city was buried for many centuries. No one ever knew about buried city until some people started finding the skeletons and other historical things in Mohenjo Daro (Mound Of Dead) during 20th century.

After that In 1930, Sir John Marshall an archaeologist from England was approached to rediscover and excavate the Mohenjo Daro thus the major excavation of the buried city occurred in 1930 along with his team.

Having dug the city completely, they named the city as Mohenjo Daro (Mound Of Dead). They took all of the original excavations to England to display in the museum there. The findings displayed in the museum at Mohenjo Daro near Larkana are their replicas.

The sculptures of buddhist Emperor of Mohenjo Daro and a dancing girl were found. In addition, the language of Mohenjo Daro couldn’t have been decoded until now. The few archaeologists from India are working on it. They are endeavouring to decode the language of Mohenjo Daro through AI ( Artificial Intelligence).
